Last night's studies. Took 4 references, did the gesture and then the mannequin.
Got some last minute inspiration and pumped this out tonight. Not sure how far I'll take it. I felt a bit nostalgic and melancholy drawing it...maybe that's why. Also, listening to Iron and Wine while drawing it only added to the effect.
This is Enzo and Arlo when they're 6 and 12 years old. Enzo's leg hasn't been taken yet. Time for these brothers to go fishing. :|
That's some awesome stuff you've got there. You're really good with gestures and expressions. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I tried keeping mental focus of the colors and hopefully it shows.....a little. :P Here's yet ANOTHER sketch I did of Daphne because I'm starting to obsess and freak out over her design. This may be even closer to what I've been thinking for at least a year.
Anyway, studies are still going....HAND STUDIES (bleh). I may post them later when I have more.
Some Wednesday night drawing. Did some gestures, mannequins, drew hands from imagination, construction, and drew my own hand picking a cartoon booger. Also...a cat.
Tried my hand at vehicle design. This was design number 7 or 8 until I was happy with it. I needed to do this for practice, and because I'm trying to gear up for a new big piece involving it.
Fixed some issues and tweaked some design ideas.

Thanks! It's certainly no picnic. :P Here's a new concept of young Lily (aka Vol. 1 Lily)...probably around the age of 11 or 12. She's been through a lot and will eventually have Ivan Berling as her guardian since both her parents end up getting killed. :(
She's a tough girl though. ;)
My idiot self didn't trust my construction lines and extended her legs too far in the pic above. I put them back, and I THINK it looks better. :P
Decided to give Ivan another go after many months. This took a bit longer than I wanted, but I feel I'm more pleased with the coloring technique this time around than anything else. :P Electric stun-sword FTW......a a cigar. :D
I was going to give him the whole outfit (trench coat, sunglasses, briefcase), but I wanted to see his main attire first.

This is a rough background version with color and position placement. It was splotched in about 20 minutes. The actual version will be 16:10 1920x1200 to show more of the world which I have planned for the piece. This is a big one, maybe THE big one for reasons I'm not ready to say yet. I hope to get this all done in a week or so.

After getting back from vacation I was itching to draw again. My sister's cat Satri is a total bitch and we've always talked about making her a villain...or someone that's just an asshole. She's old and doesn't shut up...sooooooooooo here's my version of Satri.........Van Buren? Could she be the grandma, or stepmom.....of the story's main villain? WHO KNOWS?! Whatever...Satri is a bitch LOL.

Friday night, the music is bumping, and I'm on a "roll" trying to draw my pet cats as anthro. The "love" got too strong so I stopped at pencil. I kinda feel how they do right now. (why is everything so soft and awesome :D) LOL

Daphne sketches for the night. I struggled more with these than I should've and didn't have the energy to finish them. Just when you think you're progressing....you realize you're still having trouble.

Archer sketches for the night. My hand and shoulder hurt way more than they probably should've. My technique probably all backwards lol.
Anyway, trying to do Archer some justice.....really trying to nail his look.
