Ok, kids. Settle down. We all have to get together and be friends, We're working together and we're all priceless members to one another.
As far as a background artist, I thought you could do that but I think someone said they may be able to help.
The art style you want to do is okay by me as long as it looks good. I liked anime and it may compliment the movie quite well.
Eskimo Joe, posting doesn't get you gold so your alt. account doesn't need to post. He just needs to vote a shit load of times.

Response to Writers Crew 2004-07-27 10:06:26

Ok. This is going to be our new system of communication:
Eskimo Joe will no longer be called just Joe since we have some one with their name as joe.
-Joe- may be called just Joe now or you can use the hyphens. Whichever he prefers.
Anyway, -Joe-, is it possible for you to add music at the end during the credits? If you know how to do that I'd like to put in the song "Slither" by Velvet Revolver. I think it's a great way to end the movie and no one else to my knowledge has tried it. If you can find it, I'd like to put it in. Thanks!

After part 2 gets wrapped up in the writing phase, I think our next film should be a story set in the Vietnam War. Basically, there's no actual speaking just the action and music playing over it. I have had this idea for a while but I don't know how to convert it into a script. Eskimo Joe, I'm gonna need your help but it's a far off project so it can wait.
-Joe-, how's the character designs coming? I'm not rushing you because I know great art takes great time. You take your time, I have faith in ya.
To our newer members that don't know what our project is:
We're trying to finish up a 2 part western I wrote. I still must complete the story for part 2 and part 1 is currently in the artwork phases. Other than that, there's not too much more to tell except for when you see a movie submitted to the Portal by Snerd, Eskimo Joe, and -Joe- called Hang 'Em High vote 5 on it. We want it to be a daily feature. And trust me, you'll love it. ^_^

Is there any1 within the Wrtiers Crew that wishes to also join a club that is dedicated to working as a team to make flash movies for the Newgrounds Flash Portal. All people are welcome as we need a variety of skills.
We have already begun work on a project that should be completed in due course, so if you can write storylines or give ideas, or can draw, animate or actionscript you are very welcome to come view our thread:
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=153385
If you wish to join, please state that you do in the thread and state your skills and i will then consider your application.
At Club Evolution, as more members join, the club evolves and so should the standard of movies/games that we produce.
So, if you're interested, view now.

Just take your time and do it right and you'll have done enough for me. Anyway, I went to that club that posted about earlier and asked for a background artist for you. Hopefully, he can send someone over and I just have to write something for them or somebody will have to write something for them or whatever. Just as long as our things get taken care of, that's the priority.

OK, well I was told to g on a posting diet, but I have come off that now, so whats new and is there anything easier than a cowboy to draw?

Response to Writers Crew 2004-07-27 13:03:04

Well they can't help because they're looking for artists and animators, too. So basically from what I've gathered they're like Writers Crew Lite or something. They also told me they don't really need writers now. If you others want to go there and help them later on, that's fine, that's what this crew is really all about. We're about helping writers find ways to get their names out there to people.
-Joe-, once you've finished work on part 1, and I don't mean right after it's finished you can take some time off, can you work on part 2 after a break? I realize with school that may stop you from commiting to the project wholeheartedly but school is gonna do the same to me.

Well, let's take it to a vote...
Will all those in favor of the Vietnam story please post "Vietnam"
All of those in favor of the cop drama post "Cop Drama"
To snare: If you could be a background animator on the project that would be a big help. Our animator needs a background guy. Good to see ya again.

Response to Writers Crew 2004-07-27 15:06:57

Well really I don't care I think both would be good but there is so many cop dramas on tv now so I think we should do the Vietnam one is it going to be like a silent movie or is their going to be like music, sound effect, etc. BTW is this going to be a series or anything if so let me know.

I don't know. The Vietnam thing could potentially be a series, it depends on how viewers respond. I would make the cop drama a short lived series maybe a 3 parter or something. The Vietnam series would just basically be no talking. Music plays over the action. It would be very violent. The cop drama would definitely have dialogue and be somewhat violent with a lot of coarse language such as "The Shield" but it wouldn't be a rip off or anything. I write me own material. ^_^

Well include me in the project cause I will surely help but when are we going to start the ideas for them because I am leaving to go to Florida in a few minutes?

Uhh, the backgrounds I'm not so sure on how to label their ability to be drawn. Basically is all sandy type ground. The town wqould probably be the hardest but not too hard. The town would just be basically desert with some shops built outta wood with some signs like Saloon or Post Office or Sheriff or something. Those should be that hard.
Ok we have one vote for Vietnam. I need you guys to vote. Whatever you guys vote on will be our next project. I kinda want my 'nam movie to have a Sgt. Rock type feel. If ya don't know who he is he's a DC comics character set in WWII although I think they did a book with him in 'nam. I'll have to look into that.

Oh I thought a BG guy ment a BG guy.................well anyway, so it's gonna have a widescreen feel, desert, serious, maybe people shadowed with small details shown, like a ghost town...........I think that's right, I'll try it in flash.
