You could also get me some suggestions for bands to listen to, after all, I don't have any other friends that like pure metal, All the metal I listen to comes from time i take researching the subject. I just found out about metalcore this summer, and I agree it is a bad form of metal compaired to the old stuff, and new pure metal.

Bass playing: Alex Webster rules, he is a great, highly-skilled player, where Trivium's bass is simple and just follows the guitars.

Guitars: I don't doubt Heafy's ability to play, but ripping off others is not the right way. Btw, Pat O' Brien and Rob Barrett are also great players and their complex riffs and difficult time signatures, as well as highly technical solos are a force to be reckoned with. (Jack Owen is an amazing player as well, he only left CC a few years ago).

Corpsegrinder's vocals are way better than Heafy's gay singing and hardcore rapping.

Paul Mazurkiewicz's drumming is also quite technical. Listen to their "Kill" album and obey.

Sorry, you might be interested in metal, but your knowledge is VERY limited and your wise-ass-ness does not fit your ability to differ between -core and metal.

I just want to have educated talks with people who love metal just like me, and wouldnt it be best to have one more person on the metal train rather then a metal core fan? We could end metalcore, but I need your guys help in figuring out what is the difference. Telling me metalcore sucks doesnt help very much and i know it will take plenty of work and talks.

Look, im trying my best here but as far as the metal scene goes, im still just learning. Im sorry if i come off as a wise ass, im just trying to defend myself here.

I just want to have educated talks with people who love metal just like me, and wouldnt it be best to have one more person on the metal train rather then a metal core fan? We could end metalcore, but I need your guys help in figuring out what is the difference. Telling me metalcore sucks doesnt help very much and i know it will take plenty of work and talks.

As for what the difference is between metal and metalcore, there is no clear one. However, we have to draw the line somewhere. Metalcore is just a hybrid between hardcore punk and metal, and there are some metalcore bands that fall on the metal side, but most are hardcore punk with some metal influences.

And your decision to take off CC and motorhead for your metal list was unwise and auto-fail. While the last ditch list with Einsiferium proved you had it in ya, we really don't need a retard like you in here.

I can here a big difference with those bands in comparison, as I said the former list was an old list. Norma Jean is a pretty shit band. Iron and Megadeath are great bands. Hearing Kataclysm off of that video, that is like ear orgasms.

I get most of the difference now that we are talking about it, but there are still some bands that are on the line for me.
