Why is Power Metal becoming extremely popular?? As soon as I find a genre I dont think anyone else will listen to, DragonForce and Iced Earth become popular as hell. Im not too into DragonForce so much, but Iced Earth... Why?!?! Im just scared Blind Guardian will become really popular. If they do, I might just kill myself. Listening to popular music doesn't suit me. I hate it. Whats the point in being the same as everyone else? If Power Metal DOES get amazingly popular, people will think I'm just going with the trend. Which I'm NOT. I know it will fade out, because no band will ever be as popular as Slipknot, but it just pisses me off. ProgPower is already sold out. The festival is in October!!

just tired

so, i just got back from summer slaughter, i only stayed for the first 4 bands, Beneath the Massacre, Ion Dissonance, As Blood Runs Black, and The Faceless. all of them except for the faceless were metalcore bands. there was alot of hardcore dancing, and alot of people were taken out by security, one guy was put in a headlock and dragged out. i got a cattle decapitation shirt that says gore not core on the back, with a crosshair aimed at a hardcore dancer. i wish i could have stayed to see the other bands, but arsis wasnt there and the metalcore bands pissed me off. each band had about a 20 minute set but it took almost 15 minutes for each band to get ready. also, some guy stole a box of the tour shirts and was handing them out for free in the bathroom. it was a pretty good concert though, i hated how the good bands played later on, the first three bands had to ask for people to "create a ruckus" the faceless didn't need to ask.
