whoa whoa whoa. what happend to this being a free exchange of musical taste. there are no ins or outs. he posts the bands, and he's in, but then we still comment on his music and tell him what he should be listening to.

Vomitory, why don't you get a forum from Proboards.com or invisionfree.com? Both are free, and you get your own site for the forum.

Because on the forum I got from Oscar, I had no pop-ups, no ads, 100 GB webspace...
A proboards forum, or invision free forum won't give you pop up ads. Just ads related to the topic of the forum on the top, and a link to make your own forum at the bottom.

Well, I'll give Oscar some more time, if nothing happens, I'm going to do that :)

musical experimentation is what makes a person well rounded, I not only listen to one genre of metal, and not only one genre of music, I listen to industrial, alternative, rap, electronica, dance and much more :)
thats why I try and do so many things on the guitar, I try and do stuff that combines all of those genres to make my most widely used and favored styles of music...
I find being open to music very important and listening to different types of music is also... even if just to try something new :)

Didn't you tell me that I'm supposed to see if I know at least five bands of someones list and if they sound good to me I let them in? As far as I get it we don't need people here that like Blink 182, Greenday and Linking Park and proclaim to be true metal heads.

What are Evanescence anyway? One second I hear that they are nu metal and then someone says that they are gothic rock. It's kinda anoying that I can't go bashing them because I don't know what they are.

Well, in this case...there's no metal in what you have listed(LP is nu-pop-rock). We shouldn't let something like this is, indeed.

about the half of the bands you listed are not metal. But the rest is, at least kind of. You are in.
I don't have a problem with most of the new members, but lately, there were a lot of mallcore bands in new member's lists, we need more DEATH METAL =P
Its true since ive been gone the new people seem to be into a lot more as you put it "mall-core" lol there are a few of those bands in my album list.............but i got those a long time ago/.......
Listen to death metal :P \m/

What the fuck!? They don't have that many albums. You either have numerous copies of some albums or you're mistaken with the numbers. I'm sure I would find some more anomalies (sp) of this kind in the list but I don't wanna check it out right now.
heh i included bootlegged live gigs........
also its Albums and EPs
I.e. Dissection:
Storm of the lights Bane
The Somberlain
Nights Blood
The Past Is Alive
Live Legacy
Where Dead Angels Lie EP = 6
or
Arch Enemy :
Burning Japan
Burning Bridges
Anthems of Rebellion
Burning Angel EP
Black Earth
Stigmata
Wages Of Sin = 7
there maybe one or two errors as i did it late at night but i doubt any are big errors and next time you should maybe be check your facts before accusing me of getting it wrong?

They are complete shit that yearns to be in either of those catagories by copying the nu-metal standards and dressing in black... I HATE EVANESCANCE

once again I'm forced to warn you about discusion of piracy. Cut that out unless you want to get banned and want to get this club into trouble.
Anyway sorry for being so untrusting. It just seemed so wierd that you have "too many" albums.
oh sorry about that.... havent checked the rules for ages, also its no problem, when i find bands I like I obsess over getting their stuff, no ofennce taken.
At 9/4/04 08:54 AM, TsarMatt wrote: Nay, more power metal is necessary.
Let's don't forget about that! Some more Blind Guardian, or power-death like CoB or Norther.
Oh, and to many of the new people that want to join or visitor that want to join in the near future, think twice. If you consider bands like Linkin Park, Nirvana or Evanescence as real metal, think again about joining this club.

exactly...
now Vomitory, what are the rules about bands like Slipknot, MuDvAyNe and System of A Down?
I love those bands, yet I am still a member (barring my other metal likes and loves) if those were on my main list, would I still be able to join?
