I agree. They're probably so bad at singing they have to have dogs sing for them.

Wow, I never though I would say this but normally I hate black metal. I just found a band that I enjoyed and were black metal. (it said black metal)

A song to check out by them is The choir of the dead I have no links. Yet it was kool. Very symphonic.
(dont know how old they are :P)

I mean lately, we've hit rock bottom.

You're actually one of the reasons I still read up here, other then the occasional suggested bands. You almost never fail to give me a laugh. You're also beautiful in every way imaginable, and I love you and want to ride off into the sunset with you on a horse. A horse made of love.
?
Hi im Dan.
Im an Englander straight out of London, but with ambiguous hereditary roots.
I like many types of music, including Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Progressive Metal, Speed Metal, Power Metal, Heavy Metal, (or basically just any form of melodic metal), Synthpop, New Wave Romantics, 90s Britpop, Jazz/Funk/Blues, Classical and Folk.
Also like a fair bit of dance/techno/rave shit when the time is appropriate (drunk).
I'm not very consistant when it comes to obsessions, in that i'm very sporadic when it comes to taste. For example, I love metal but i'm not big on the metal community.
I do a bit of guitar. Would like to be in a band one day, but not necessarily a metal one, something that's diverse and progressive.
I have little ambition in life, other than to further my education, have a job I love and hopefully a loving family home.
I'm not weird like you guys lolz.
Well not much seems to be happing right now so anyone like Job For A Cowboy?
I fucking love them maybe even more than Pantera! (Ah shit I'll probely get my ass kick by my friends for that...)

I guess it would have been nice if you had told me your plans BEFORE posting rules, which weren't discussed with any other horseman. Thus, they are unconfirmed, since this has to be done by more than just one.
1. If you are not a horseman do not rate bands other people list. You may rate the bands of a member who just wants to post his favorite bands.
This sounds acceptable to me.
2. New members must post 10 bands. I know this was established, but I'm carving it in stone.
I agree, nothing new.
3. There is a new point system. Good bands give one "metal point", bad bands give one "poser point". If the "metal points" overpower the "poser points" he/she is in. Obviously the other way applies too.
4. Do not give points (metal or poser) for the following bands: Pantera, Metallica, Lamb of God, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer, or Cannibal Corpse. This list will change.
I could live with rule #3, but #4 is absolute garbage. We had this discussion going on before an d I still say that this won't work and is unfair to applicants. We horsemen always voted for or against newbies by judging their lists by personal experience and fairness, which is one major reason for electing a horseman in the first place - we should be proficient enough to judge a newbie fairly, without some flawed system - so, I say no to this rule. The former system has worked before and even if a newbie turns out to be a faggot, we may just kick him out.
5. Metalcore=poser points.
Read my comment to #3 and #4 - Metalcore is of course debatable.
6. That includes Trivium.
Yes, they are a no-no.
7. Crossover Thrash is accepted.
Of course it is.
OBEY
You should talk to other horseman before doing anything like that again, okay?
No hard feelings, but I think doing things like these is not the burden of just one horseman.

Yeah and one reason for that is your fucking whining all the time. "oh, this club is so bad now, oh I'm butthurt" - stop whining an do something against it. I'm fed up with people like you who can't do anything constructive to keep the club going.
and Nev, I don't dislike you in the least, you still worried about that argument we had like 200 pages ago? :P

apologies for the double but this mad me giggle :P
Thanks for voting, Charon!
Your experience points gave you a voting power of 5.95 votes. Your blam and protection points gave you an additional 12% of your experience power, meaning that your total vote power was worth 6.66 votes!
how infantile :D

i was born in england, but i'm half scottish & now live in scotland
i like metal, preferrably of the dooom varietry. i like to think i have a pretty impressively wide taste in music; i like rock, prog rock, psychedelic rock, grunge/alt-rock, folk rock, folk, blues, jazz, jazz fusion, funk, calssical, baroque, neo-classical, indian classical, punk, hardcore punk, new wave, crossover thrash etc. etc.
im a musician, mainly play fiddle (especially shredding on my electric fiddle) and guitar. i have a band called red handed. i'm also in another called the hookares. i'd like to think i'll be a professional musician some day.
i think you've heard enough.......

Oh ok. We'll keep rule #3 but scratch rule #4. That's fine. I just wanted to see if we wanted to keep it because a long time ago, Ghoul established a list of borderline bands.

is anyone here going to summer slaughter in new york? because my mom said she would take me, and i wanted to know if all of the bands there are gonna be good, (i only know a few)
and more importantly, will i look like an idiot if my mom is there with me?

I already said on the last page that I'm going. The doors will open at 5 PM and my brother and I are going to get in line about 2-3 hours before that happens (which is around 2:00 to 3:00). If you want to meet me, I'll be wearing a Gorgoroth shirt with a large inverted cross on the back. There are a lot of good bands playing such as Necrophagist, Decapitated, Arsis, Cattle Decapitation and Cephalic Carnage. Beneath the Massacre is pretty good, judging from the material I've heard from them. The remaining two bands (Ion Dissonance and As Blood Runs Black) are more on the mediocre side.
Is your mom into metal too? She can come if she is, but if she's going just for the sake of accompanying you, tell her that it's not necessary because you don't need to have any parents with you to get in.

my mom isn't into metal, shes going because she doesn't want to just leave me there, do you think going at 3:00-4:00 would be early enough?

Try to be there by 3:00. I'm personally aiming for 2:30.

When I got my tickets, they were $19. I'd recommend bringing $20, maybe a little bit more. The show is on Sunday.

For some reason, BB King's just happens to be a favorite venue for a lot of metal bands. I saw Emperor play there just last month, and I'm returning in the fall to see Overkill and maybe a couple of other bands if I can.
