For a start, he was past his time.... Damageplan were crap.
He got the chance to express himself fully - unlike Randy Rhoads.

Well I guess his death has been blown out of proportion, but I don't agree he's over rated.
For that style of music he was quite a master, and his solos and pinching squeals were awesome.
There's no point in comparing him to other guitarists who died just because he died. Besides most of the people who are "mourning" him have no idea what they're on about.
