Howdy ya'll.
Just checkin' in and shit.
You know, not until about 2 days ago did I know how many bands, albums and songs Ghoul had actually done. He's even more of a legend than I thought. Ghoul, where can I pick up some Kali-Yuga?
I've decided to continue my solo Black Metal project along with my solo Grind project. The BM project is currenly under the name 'Atrummortis'. 3 songs are currently written for Atrummortis. I'm working on a 4 part concept demo entitled "The Final Journey".
The first song I've written is very inspired by Gorgoroth's Hundrellok (Can't remember how to spell it :S). To this day it is my fav Gorgoroth track, along with the whole of Pentragram.
The second song was created after watching 'Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back'. When I heard the Emperial March It just made me think, "Fuck, Dimmu Borgir could've written that." After experimenting with the chord progression after a while I figured out a little tune that I quite like.
The third song's main riff is basically a steal of a riff for a Life? song. I thought it sounded alot better in Black Metal. Don't worry, they're not sharing the riff, I replaced the riff with another one in the Life? song.
It also has an interlude that is the same chord progression used in the Fable theme, a game a played constantly for about 2 months.
The 4th song hasn't been written yet.
The track listings look like this:
1. Pt 1: Revelation
2. Pt 2: Acceptance
3. Pt 3: Torment
4. Pt 4: Death
It is mostly inspired by the recent death of my Grandmother.
Musically, the Life? demo is complete, also with a 4 song track listing.
1. Born, Live, Die
2. No-one is Innocent
3. Hidden Agenda
4. Sorrow Mortality
The lyrics for 'No-one is Innocent' (The title I got from a line in the cult movie "Repo-Man" are not complete yet.
Recording of the Life? demo will start after the Atrummortis demo is complete. The first of the four Atrummortis tracks were finished today.
I'm gunna be busy this week.......
