Indeed :) That's right. (Except St.Anger, which is utter crap.)

Pantera - most of its pretty good

My favourite song from them is "5 Minutes Alone"

Deftones kick ass

Meh

Korn - Blind, Clown, and Thoughtless are sweet songs (the rest of their stuff kicks ass too

I was a Korn fan once, but I found out how boring they are.

And my other favorites, while not metal are:
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
A Perfect Circle
Jimi Hendrix

Nice

Let me know what you think

Pretty good, pretty good, welcome to Metal hell ;)

This list is far from being complete. I like a lot more bands with a wide variety of different influences.

Awesome. Welcome dude, have fun here. You can post as many bands as you want.

Sure, try out "Serpent's Embrace" from their newest Album (which is also caled Serpent's Embrace). It's a mixture of Black- and Melo-Death I'd say... Their older albums are more Black-Metal without Death-Metal influences, I like those as well.

Danke, klingt ziemlich interessant.

Have you heard of Graveworm? They rock, Gothic Black Metal from Italy, saw them live and it was awesome.

Of course! Graveworm rocks! I wish I'd seen them live, but I didn't until now. Band's I've seen live recently:

-Dimmu Borgir & Hypocrisy
-Fintroll & Ensiferum & The Wake
-Defiled & Cadaver & Mayhem
-Devil Driver & Caliban & In Flames

...as well as some Underground-Bands. Next Concert will be a gig that is organized by my favorite Underground Band Midwinter (check them out), which will also feature the above mentioned Agathodaimon.
After that Nightwish will be next with Sonata Arctica as support.

Another nice concert....damn, you see so many good bands and I have almost never the chance to see something great....Austria sucks.

Looks nice. I still regret that I missed this year's Wacken :(

Well, take a lok on their Homepage some songs are even downloadable completely. And their newest CD Astral Mirrors rocks. And it's not too expensive either if you order it directly from their own Shop.

I feel sorry for you. There is only one gig in Vienna, but that's it for Austria...

Okay okay, here's something new. Make a list of the metal bands you've seen live. Granted, some might not have too long of lists (like me, it isn't as big as I'd like it to me), but share with us! Also, say which groups you'd like to see most (broken up or not).

I've seen:
In Flames, Soilwork, Chimaira, Unearth, Internal Suffering, Emeth, Obliquity, Incinerate, Stabwound, Iced Earth, Children of Bodom, Evergrey, Opeth, Moonspell, Devildriver (ugh...), Magistral, Dimmu Borgir, Hypocrisy, Nevermore, Rush (if they count; they were speed metal once), Amon Amarth, Nile, Kreator, Vader, Goatwhore...

Who I'd like to see:
Mayhem (With Dead and Euronymous), Nargaroth, Norther, Ragnarok, Bethlehem, Pig Destroyer, Sinergy, Battlelore, Dark Angel, Immortal, Emperor, Borknagar, Slayer... so many more.

(Yeah, add him to the list. :P)

My gosh, how old is this bassist? I mean your profiles states that your 16, what kind of a man hits a 16 year old? Anyway, on some concert one of the vocalist of a band got of stage and stood really close to the moshing youngsters. My friend hit him (i gotta say this friend reminds me of a truck) with all his force. That was a great moment.

If words were wisdom, I'd be talking even more.

All the bands I've seen so far are local scene so you won't know any of them.

I\d like to see (this is going to be long): Slayer, Pantera, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Immortal, Dissection, Vader, Behemoth (I'm gonna see them soon), Gravedigger (haha, right after I become gay), Death, Control Denied, Black Label Society, System Of A down, Linkin Park (so I could beat the crap out of some dumbass fan and throw rocks at the band. The list goes on, too much good bands I've never seen.

I'm guessing Vince is in his late twenties, possibly early thirties. He didn't hit me, though; he shoved me and I fell against a barstool, knocking it back, so I jumped up and hit him. Haha. It was all in fun, though; it's why I love pits. \m/

Good site for metal videos

Hey I want in!!
My fav bands: Salyer, Opeth, Moonspell, Children of Bodom, Bloodbath, The Haunted, Pink Floyd (gotta dig Floyd), Zyklon, Hypocrisy, Cliff Burton-era Metallica, Hatebreed, BLS, etc.

P.S. (side notes for all to consider)
= Metallica died with Cliff Burton. It just took "Load" to come out for the signs to start showing.
= Sepultura should of been over when Max left.
= Fuck Lars Ulrich
= Pink Floyd has done quite well without Roger, thank you. But he WAS a very valuable asset in what they are today. He has talent just falling out of his ass. They all do.
= John Bonham is what every metal drummer should be: fast, furious, tireless, insane. RIP Mr. Bonham
= Jimmy Page is a genius. The way they mic drums for recording, background echo, and other modern music methods are all his babies. And dont forget the bow. That bow gets me everytime I watch my double-set DVD.
= Fuck posers.

Keep the REAL metal alive.

Ok, im getting a friend to get me a shitload of cds on the weekend (well, 15)

Whatever In Flames he can (so maximum 6, since i already have Clayman)
The first Chimaira CD (Since theyre the supporting act at the In Flames concert)
DevilDriver (dont have it yet)

Im fucked if i know what i'm going to fill those other cds up with... i demand recomendations (keeping in mind my fav bands are melodic death metal, or industrial).

Oh. Your. God.

I would like to see: Nightwish, Elven King, Incubus Sucubus, Cradle of Filth, Dragon Force, Nirvana (I know it won't happen), Rhapsody, Static X, Racer X, and I probably miss some here ;)

Blind Guardian!? Stratovarius?! The power metal fan within me is getting a little misty in his non-existant vagina.

Get Colony and anything before it. Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to Selling Out (:P) SUCK.

The first Chimaira CD (Since theyre the supporting act at the In Flames concert)

Their first CD was very, very, very mallcore. If you like that, then go for it. But don't expect it to be as heavy as The Impossibility Of Reason (Yes, in comparison to their earlier material, that is actually a very heavy album).

DevilDriver (dont have it yet)

Ew. Avoid their album. Save yourself. ;x
