First band to get me into metal was Ozzy, which seems to be a rarity.
Most recent band i've gotten into? oh jeez... Persuader and Savage Circus probably. There's a bunch of bands I want to get into but never get the chance to get hold of or listen to their stuff.
Also I guess I got into Rush fairly late in the game considering my love for Dream Theater, but they can't really be counted as metal so I won't get into that.

black sabbath, my dad had a cd of black sabbath and it looked cool so i put it on... i liked it^^

I was in my class during lunch using my laptop watching Testament "Deciples of the Watch" (live) and this kid whom I just started to know said Testament sucks. I said, dude" Testament is part of the big four. He likes Lamb Of God, Cradle of Filth, etc. He does listen to Amon Amarth but his selection seems too damn mainstream (Hot Topic), excluding Amon Amarth because they're good metal. I listen to Unleashed, (old) Slayer, Obituary, Immolation, Jag Panzer, Testament, Death, Nevermore, Iced Earth, Vital Remains, Massacre, Deicide, Venom, (old) Mayhem, Amon Amarth, TYR, etc

I'm not sure what metal band I listened to first. It may have been Pantera. I've been listening to them since I was a preteen.
