i used to hate metal but its really starting to grow on me. probably coz loads of my friends are total metalheads, ive just got 'accustomed' to it now. for preference i really like sludge and stoner- bands like the melvins, sleep, electric wizard, cathedral, acid king etc. a lot of people find it dull and repetitive but....meh

Recent Ulver material either puts me to sleep or gives me a headache.

iPods suck donkey balls.
Me and my friend were discussing Apple's shitness, and Creative's not-shitness. And it boiled down to:
Apple - Make lots of different things. All of which sucks.
Creative - Focus mainly on audio.... thus its good.

Zen > iPod.

I have no reason to think this.

I'm just happy I can carry around shitloads of songs and have shitloads of space left.

7,500 songs is what they think it can hold. So I'll probably be able to put 3,750 songs on there.

That's still a lot.

The best bet would be "Pandemonic Hyperblast" by Anaal Nathrakh. Any definition you once had of "extreme" will be completely shattered.

I'd probably label them as extreme black metal. They are notoriously known as the soundtrack to the apocalypse.

Aborym -With No Human Intervention. A cold, robotic, totally devoid of human sympathy song. It's great. Aborym make the coldest music ever, even surpassing Ildjarn, Tsjuder, Immortal, and Darkthrone.

I have an extreme earache which has invaded both my left and right ears. I can't hear shit, and I can't talk or chew without my ears hurting.

No metal in the past two days, I've been on medication.

Next time we jam, Angband will record 2 or 3 songs for a rehearsal tape. For the rehearsal tapes, the lineup is me-drums/vocs, patrick-guitars, and brandon-guitars, lyrics. When we record an official demo, I'll be doing keyboards, vocals, as well as drums if we can't find a suitable drummer by then. We're probably gonna continue without a bassist.

Well...

a. there's no suitable bassist who we know who likes black metal
b. our sound really doesn't require bass
c. it'll be easier to coordinate without bass
d. bass would run contrary to what the guitar lines are, which are mostly one string-at-a-time riffs that intertwine and are mostly in the medium register.
