I listen to alot of Morbid angel, nevermore, opeth, necrophagist, cannibal corpse and nile. Yet here lately I have found myself listening to black sabbath and metallica all the time. I havent listened to actual HEAVY METAl in like 2 weeks. I wonder what the fuck is going on.

i actually have to agree with you, i got christ illusion and each song sounds like a continuation of the other, but the songs are still pretty good, and the lyrics are pretty good too, take cult for example.

Basically, mallcore and bands with hugely mallcore audiences. Remember, we're trying to keep mallkiddies (or at least closeminded mallkiddies) out of this club, and if a band's audience is mostly mallkiddies, the applicitor is most likely a mallkiddie.

You have to remember, the only reason we do this is because there used to be a bevy of people trying to get in on a list of MTVMetal bands.

That is true.... I think bands like Slayer, Arch Enemy, etc should only be count towards a person list if the rest of the list shows tr00ness. If the list includes the majority of actual -core acts, then again true metal bands should be ignored.
