Norther rules! I personaly think they are better then Cildren of a Bodom since they are a more professional band.

NP: "Norther - Unleash Hell"

I didn't really like that album, Dreams of Endless War is much better

If words were wisdom, I'd be talking even more.

NORTHER BETTER THAN CHILDREN OF BODOM? YOU ARE FUCKING KIDDING ME. Alexi could slay ALL of Norther if he had to. Musically and physically. :D

But Norther is fucking wonderful. I love Dreams of Endless War, especially "Last Breath" and "Endless War".

Let's not argue there, it's kinda a matter of taste.

My favorite is Released. Endless war is a really good song as well.

"The Victorious One" is really good, too. I like the black metal-esque drumming used in it. Mmm.

And still no matter how great black metal becomes it could never be better such bands as Slayer, Death and Pantera.

True. They are better with her anyway. Their last 2 albums rocked. A lot.

Well they do play well but their concerts are far from being energetic/fun/interesting. They don't put up a show like other bands, they don't get the crowd stimulated. I don't see the point in going to their concert, you can enjoy as much by just listening to their CD.

Good to know. Yeah, I enjoy their latest stuff a lot.

But Finntroll rocks even more ;)

Demons & Wizards. Features Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian) on vocals and Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth) on guitar.
Highly reccomend this band. Power metal, obviously, but they're not overly heavy. I'm still quite a fan. In my opinion, Hansi is the best vocalist going around.
So if you're a Blind Guardian fan, or even just a power metal fan, you should give this band a listen.

Very good. Welcome to the fold :)

TexasHoldEm, that band you told me about sounds very interesting. I shall look into it.

Anyone here an Arch Enemy fan?

Michael Amott is an amzing guitarest. And Sharlee D'Angelo is arguably the best bass player in Metal music. Arch Enemy is pretty good...but I don't like Angela...if you've ever seen her in person you'd want to throw up...she is not bad as a vocalist but she has no stage presence and she is nasty.

Response to Metal Hell 2004-07-04 13:40:12

The Amott brothers=shit hot product. They're two of the new guitar gods of our generation. "We will rise" is just a prime example of their talent, along with "Burn My Angle."

Yeah, they seem to be awesome. Well, I like Angela's vocals, even though she doesn't really sound like a woman :P

Wow! I'm back too! Oh, and congrats to -HeadBanger- for the level 15. And, it seems, jonthomson too.

I recently laid my hands on Sepultura - Nation, Metallica - Ride The Lightning, Metallica - Reload and Metallica - St. Anger. For all their faults, St. Anger and Reload aren't bad albums. The 2 best songs on St. Anger have to be Frantic and St. Anger though. Best Metallica album I have heard yet = Master Of Puppets, though.

I wasn't too keen on Nation, it was a little heavy for me, though it had it's moments.

Best song on Master Of Puppets = Welcome Home (Sanitarium).

But anyway, how've you all been? Do you like my new sig? I made it myself! :D *looks proud*

I personally really dislike St. Anger. There's not one song I could enjoy fully, the only one quite listenable is "Unnamed Feeling"

I wasn't too keen on Nation, it was a little heavy for me, though it had it's moments.

Well, Nation has the new singer. Get Chaos A.D., Beneath the Remains, Arise, Schizophrenia.... ;)

Best song on Master Of Puppets = Welcome Home (Sanitarium).

I go for Battery and Master Of Puppets :)

I'm fine :)
