Mercyful Fate bothers me, too. There are some major antichristian lyrics in some of their songs. It's like "I reject Jesus and all he stands for yadda yadda" like he ever did anything to cause harm. I don't always disagree with messages criticizing Christian ideals, but damn, leave Christ himself alone. And no, I am not Christian. Also, I really like King Diamond's music, but if I hear some anticrhist bullshit, I'm done listening to that song for good.

to be honest i am at a complete loss as to what is NSBM and what isnt, i know Varg's ideals may fall in line with it but i didnt think that it came through in his material, if it does i must be missing it. I hate racism and the perpetrators there of, but if i can't really pick it out then it doesn't really offend me, which i suppose is quite hypocritical, oh well life is complicated :P
NSBM isn't really as bad as you guys are making it out to be. The stuff you're talking about is RAC and WP music. Stuff like Johnny Rebel, Angry Aryans, Agressiva 88, Blue Eyed Devils, and Skrewdriver would fall into there. RAC is usually punk or hard rock with NS lyrics. Stuff like Aryan Wind, Aryan Kampf 88, L.S.S.A.H, Absurd(the band that killed that kid in school), Aryan Blood, Wotanic Commando are NSBM.

Well, I was thinking more of the kind you mentioned. Totenkopf, Wolfen Reich, Hate Forest, etc.
But I do not have a problem with bands like Drudkh, even though they shared members with Hate Forest. Their music has no NS content, so I'm fine with it.
