Much better, and they're not even close to the same thing. TSO makes operatic metal/prog rock, kinda like a more wholesome version of Dream Theater, with epic storytelling and great singing and performances and an orchestra backing them up.

I know, It's the same here. I recently got a dvd free with the UK Metalhammer of the Unholy alliance tout. I bought it for the Slayer and Bodom, but watched Mastodon and found them pretty good. Pretty stupid though, he acts like some stupid 13 year old in that interview.
