I do not see the black metal influences in the music of Finntroll. I can kinda hear it in the vocals, but it just sounds like pure folk, if anything else, death metal.

I listen to folk metal like Ensiferum and Tyr, and then Finntroll, and I cant not hear some sort of black metal influence. Im not saying it's smacked all over the place, but I see it highlight their music still.

Yes, they grew out of their original BM scene, just like Cradle of Filth (If they were even slightly BM in their debut) but I did say that DB is one of my favourite BM bands. Not the only BM I listen to.

Anybody who says that's they're favorite black metal band deserves assrape of the highest degree.

When I think Viking Metal I think Amon Amarth and Falkenbach - y'know, songs you could both kill and row to.

I'm starting a Godflesh inspired Sludge project called the Locust Furnace (named after a Godflesh song actually) and keeping the minimalism aspect, here are my first round of lyrics. Most of them are religion inspired, because I'm spiritual and I keep up with my faith. And my religion, I mean Jewish religion because I find it fascinating. I'm not Jewish, but I like the mythology and religion, especially the Torah and the way they interpret evil, as in the Behemoth and Leviathan.

Behemoth Mouth

Within this all, I see the Behemoth.
