I've been trying to get a friend of mine into real metal. I hope it works out. He seems to like just about any of the bands I show him. I've also been trying to get him into classic rock, which I believe will be more difficult. I don't think he dislikes the classic rock bands I've made him listen to (Deep Purple, King Crimson, Rush), but I don't think he likes them that much either. :( He listens to rap and Linkin Park, but I have some hope that he'll grow out of it. I guess I'm an asshole. XD I even wrote down a big list of bands for him to check out. He already likes Pantera, Megadeth, Fear Factory, and Symphony X thanks to me. There's probably others. He might like Helloween and Dream Theater, but I'm not sure. I think the only metal band he likes that I didn't introduce him to is Metallica. Also, he really really really needs to learn to tell the difference between metal bands. He would try to guess what it is we're listening to at the moment and I'll go "what the hell? not even close". And I suspect he still likes some of the crap I had showed him a few years ago, like Slipknot and shit. I'll see if I can do something about that.
Wow, I really am an asshole. meh, whatever.
BTW, no, I don't care for Metallica.

Anyone know some free, LEGAL metal that I can download?
I only know two bands (that aren't garage bands on MySpace) that offer free songs -
Dethklok and Beatallica .
Any more?
I got the Accolade (part 1) for free from Symphony X's official website. Also, I got a few tracks for free from Behold...the Arctopus's site.

what the hell is OCD?

Which I have. It's a pain in the ass. I have these wierd little rituals. I know I don't have to do them, but I feel like I do. Just about nobody other than my mom notices it, though. I have also been diagnosed with Tourettes and ADD, but so many people are diagnosed with ADD that when people say that they have it, I basically disregard the statement. Plus, I might not have Tourettes. I was diagnosed with it before OCD and my mom seems to really doubt that I have Tourettes. I think I might, though. I blurt really bizarre things out loud and I tap my hands a lot. A lot of the time it's because I almost always have a song playing in my head, but sometimes, I just get fidgety and tap randomly without focusing on rythym. That's why I was given a drum for Christmas. I tap so much.
