I thought Lamb of God did pretty good when I saw them, CoB's sound kept fuckin up during the solos so it sounded like shit though :( Slayer did the best.

Went to Sounds of the Underground yesterday. Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse and Gwar fucking owned. Gwar is the greatest live act I have ever seen. I broke my nose during Cannibal Corpse's set though. I was headbanging to Hammer Smashed Face and some kid got in my way. I went face first into the back of his head really fucking hard.

the more you listen to it, the more you enjoy it, it is an amazing album. best song = Jihad

Gave the album a listen, it's Slayer's best of the past decade. A bit lighter than their 80's stuff, but the awesome lyrics and blistering solos are now more structured and competent than ever. I'll probably buy it.

On the topic of metal though...

I got Sonata Arctica's live album Songs Of Silence recently. All I can say is, if you like power metal get this album, it's fucking brilliant!

I also picked up Ride the Lightning, Joe Satriani's new album Super Collosal and Stratovarius' Elements Pt. 2. The first two kick arse, but Elements 2 kinda sucks (although I only really got it so I had the last song (Liberty) on CD).

For all who are interested in the new Amon Amarth. They got a song up now, called "Cry of the Blackbirds" and it sounds more like their old material. Pretty damn fast at times. It sounds good, i like it.

Heard it early yesterday. The intro is a bit weak, but overall it fucking slays. I can't wait for the album to come out. Also, speaking of Amon Amarth, I bought their DVD Wrath of the Norsemen a few weeks ago. It's amazing. I recommend it to any fan.
