I heard of it, people say it's good, except for a few wrong facts about metal history. I'd like to see it.

not bandwise, peoplewise
I got invited to some 'metal'group at last.fm, and now they think I'm emo because I don't like Children of Bodom/Metallica/In Flames and only listen to music they've never heard of.
It's frustrating -_-

That really sounds frustrating...people always say you aren't metal when you don't like Metallica. It's the most retarded thing I've ever heard.

I'm laughing at them though, they don't know what they're missing

Yeah,that sucks. I can I say,that I don't either like much Metallica. I like more Megadeth.

But GC asked what's goin' on,so my band has sanction, for its first live-appearance. So,I hope it's success.. :)

when will your first live-appearance be? My band "Coffinfeeder" has it's first live-performance on the 30th of June :)

and duffeknol, it's always grindcore that people either don't know or simply don't understand ;)

Ha, how hypocritical. I wonder how many emos have been influenced (fashion wise) by Laiho's transvestitism.

I agree on both points. The vocals are annoying and you're not cool :P.

About the whole screaming thing, it just seems pointless. I mean if those screams are lyrics, whats the fucking point of writing lyrics, no one can understand them, its just a waste of time.

I listened to the Wretched Spawn a few weeks ago, and I could understand about 90% of it.

Also, it's not screaming.

I fucking love Necrophagist. Sooo technical. They're one of my favorite bands.

I know the guitar playing makes me weep.

Well, my firend decided to abort the idea of me and hi forming a band. There was just too much musical differences between the two of us. He's more into rock, and lighter Metal.

It's 25th of this month. I'm kinda scared, cuz there's gonna come couple bands, who are really famous in Lahti(my homecity)an' maybe half of audience come to see that one band, which is the most famous,an' we gonna play before,so I hope no-one goes outside to smoke"couple"cicarettes...

Sounds very much like our location :) the other bands we're playing with (we play 2nd) are

"Stockholm Syndrom" - they open the concert, luckily - they suck ass. They can't play their instruments and cover Korn, Soulfly and Papa Roach.

"Painkilla" - A coverband consisting of well known musicians around here. They definitely play well.

and the most well known band is "INZEST", they play right after us, death metal/grindcore. Some of you might even know them.

ondskapelsen, i forgot one difference: we play open air, hope the weather will be okay :)

My band, Misguided, had the first live gig just some time ago. I think it went really well considering the other 4 bands all had some previous experience of playing together live. And, that's a sad thing... There were all sorts of performances there, ranging from punk to acoustic to death metal to nu-metal to us, that's a little bit of hard rock and some metal.

We were out first, the opening band! I gotta say, if your first time in a rock concert is OPENING ONSTAGE... well, we did alright anyhow. It's just that the sounds were really unbalanced so people had hard time hearing the vocals... and that still bothers me.

In any case, people seemed to like us. And though the audience was pretty small, only some 100 people, I think they might come to hear us again.

Our next gig will be a school event, where the estimated audience is probably around 500 people if we're lucky. This time I think we're the only band playing so we'll play more songs(the first gig had a 5-song set). It would be nice to have a full hour gig, since time flies when you're onstage!

And, btw, in my opinion, playing with other bands is easier than playing on your own, since all the preassure is not solely on you.

Yep. The music is just brilliant. I don't care for the vocals in this case.... with backing as good as that, why should you.

We're gonna play in small school's hall. I think there's comin' 'bout 100-2500 people. That's just enough to me. I have that strange camera-phobia. I've tried to lose it,but I just automatic turn my head, when I see camera. :S

It's official, my band has welcomed two new members(Check out our shitty MySpace for more info, as well as to check out my friend's band)
We also record all through June and will likely have an LP cut for the fall, plus we may play live in either July or October(Serious gap because so far it's hard to find booking outisde schools, blah, blah, blah...) as well as have a guaranteed gig for New Year's!
