I heard a few tracks of Kill and I really enjoyed them, very good stuff, nice riffage and I loved Corpsegrinder's slightly different vocal approach

I have it, havent listened to the whole thing yet. What I've heard sounds fucking awesome. Haha... I love the Pantera moment at the start of the first song... listen to it, then "The Great Southern Trendkill" to see what I mean. ;)

I don't even remember
I think it was Nile or Arch Enemy... took me a long time to get into metal, I think it's because I still hate those bands

It was Children of Bodom. My cousin had their CD,which he had made himself. I heard a half of it,an' then I was hooked...:D
The first metal I heard... must've been Europe - Final Countdown. That song just gets stuck in your head and won't go away. Dididiidiii.....didididdiddiiiii..... Soon it drives you mad.
*ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, banana phone...!*

I hope God will damn you!
Now that bloody Final Countdown is ringin' on my head...I dunno laugh or cry...
As with nearly everyone else, deny it or not,the first metal band I ever heard was metallica.
The first (official) metal band I heard was Metallica, but that was the Saint Shit album, so I don't count that. The first real metal I heard was Lamb of God, then Pantera...Pantera being the first legitimate metal band. The first real GOOD metal band (yeah, Pantera is good but they bore me now) that I listened to and still like (and feel as if they have integrity) is Dark Tranquillity.
Ghoul - lol I ment Burzum albums, not in general...Cant blame the shameless self-promotion, but someday I WILL buy an album...
The first good metal band I heard was Iron Maiden, they still kick ass.

I've been waiting about five seconds to post this.
We've made it to 333 pages, only halfway to pure metal awesomeness!!!!
Here's hoping we can get this kickass club up to 666 pages(or hopefully more) by June 6th!
666 is overrated... and more like an emo and goth number these days, it has nothing to do with metal :(
unless you're Chris Barnes, the fool :P

Slipknot isn't Metal. Nor is Corey a Metal Head.

Well, it is metal, even if you dont like it.
Its Alternative Metal. Maybe the shitiest metal in the world, thats a point, but its still metal and is voice is wonderful when he sings normaly

Wait And Bleed is awesome, maybe not to play on guitar, but the vocals are very nice. I prefer the Terry's Date Mix. Thats the version of the song in which corey doesnt scream. I really like it.
FUCKING STOP IT YOU TWO! YOU'RE GIVING ME HEMMORAGING!!11

Nu-Metal is not Metal. Nu-Metal is actaully Aggressvie Rock, in which Slipknot is Aggressive Rock. Nu-Metal was name giving to Aggressive Rock by Metal Heads to mock the genre for trying to be Metal.
Hey GC i just found some rotting christ vinyl i got in this shit my friend gave to me. it's not half bad. ill get the name of it later

It's not metal. It's numetal. Corey Taylor is not a metal head. Numetal is really notmetal. Just aggressive rock.

In other news, I just bought Borknagar's "Epic." I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but so far its really good.
that album is awesome. borknagar is probably the best band ive ever heard in my opinion. they just have a really good style overall. and epic is there second best IMO. i liked empiricism a little more.
The names Food, WillPostForFood.
