btw, what's your guys opinion on Stormlord? Their latest album kinda sucks, because they use TOO MANY CHEESY KEYS but I love "At the Gates of Utopia", especially "I Am Legend" thrashy and lightning fast riffage

Lol my grandmother is about as liberal as it gets. She's one of them "Wild women", which is fucking hilarious because she's 71 years old. But anyways, she's very openminded and listens to all kinds of music and grows pot.

I love Stormlord. They have a very epic, grand sound. I even like the cheesy keys. Sorry, but I am a sucker for cheesy stuff. After all, why is ManOwaR's Kings of Metal one of my favorite albums? It has cheesy keys, too.

My band's FINALLY perfecting our technique, we've got our effects board set-up to our desires(A mere SD-1 and UberMetal tonecore does it for us) and our playing styles have changed(No picks, ever.....all finger-tapping, pizzacato and slapping).
We'll be recording again soon and playing live by the fall.

Well, it all started when I was born. Then, for a couple of years nothing happened. My parents were a little worried for me barely talking when I should've been babbling all the time using some kind of baby lingon. They were about to crash into a tree once I finally, on the backseat of our car, opened my mouth and started SINGING! And so my musical tale began! My childhood just went by listening to Abba, parody/comedy songs and Elvis. Not too metallic. I was repelled from metal music for a long time because the first kind I heard as a child was some kind of groaning/shouting stuff which I got scared of. Well, years passed and I was at the 7th grade, I think, when I started watching MTV at school. That's how I got into mainstream pop music in a way. I was introduced to Gorillaz, The Offspring, Linkin Park and other bands like that. I'd say the strong conservative musical influence of my parents was a big reason for my late awakening to other music. At this point I also loved the soundtracks of movies and videogames. Later on I got a friend who gave me some Disturbed and System of a Down, which still remain as my favourites. Through those bands I got more interested towards metal in different forms, and I could say it was a bit of a shock to hear neither of them was considered real metal by metalheads... By now I still listen to everything mentioned above, since I was honest to myself and listened to the music I liked, not the music that was pop at the time. I still remember why I liked each genre and enjoy all kinds almost as much. At the moment I'm looking into two things, REAL metal and progressive rock/metal the most.
