Hey Metalheads
I haven't been on i quite some time due to certain matters, but that's besides the point.
Are there any bands you would suggest for somebody who is a massive fan of both black metal, and industrial metal. Be it by itself, or a blend, whatever. I just want some more bands to listen to.
I am lovin' me some Retro Haze .

You should be feeling sorry for me. I can't even make these jokes anymore. I suppose I've done it many times in the past and I've done it many times before. On a metal related note, Destruction? Oh yes! Glad I got The Antichrist for my sister's birthday.
I would like POD if they didn't have those preachy christian lyrics. Limp Bizkit is pretty shit though.

I happen to be the man you're looking for.
Aborym
Neo Inferno 262
DHG/Dodheimsgard
Limbonic Art
Dimension F3h
The Kovenant

Axis of Perdition
And if you're willing, my own personal project, Psycryptik

The Antichrist is a kickass album. Really love the song Thrash Til Death. On a side not, have any of you heard the band Realm? The album Endless War is pretty awesome.

I say go for Avant-garde Black or Industrial Black.
You might like Arcturus, Emperor, Ihsahn, Seeds in Barren Fields and more. If you like these. Let me know :)

I think their Symphonic Black Metal era was pretty good. But their industrial stuff sounds kind of goofy to me and I can't stand their aesthetics.

I went and listened to them all: I fucking loved them all!
I couldn't find any for you own band Psycryptik.
I am lovin' me some Retro Haze .

All of them I found extremely good. I had heard of Emperor, butnever actually got around to checking them out. And Arcturus, that was really out there, in a good way. So Cold, Dark, Choatic, loved it!
I am lovin' me some Retro Haze .
One good industrial black metal band Ghoul left out is Dimensional Psychosis. That's all I can think of, though.
Hmm felt like asking this.
When any of you guys go out and about what do you listen to your music on?
Like do you bring an iPod, Zune, Walkman, Boom Box, your Phone, etc.
I use my phone because out of those I just listed I only have that and a "Boom Box" that I found while cleaning out a closet in my house. Now all I need is a pair of parachute pants and hair like the singer from Flock Of Seagulls and my Halloween costume will be complete.....

I use my Archos. I have a vendetta against Apple when they screwed me multiple times when I had my iPod. While it is kinda bulky, if you have a bag you can just keep it in there. Also, it has substantially larger memory than any iPod.

While we're in that vein, Fleurety, Ved Buens Ende, Angst Skvadron, and Oranssi Pazuzu are good bands to look up.

Their industrial shit is precisely why I like them. And the fact that it's kinda goofy is also one of the reasons I like it. Putting it simply, it's metal you can dance to.

Sorry to double post, but here is Psycryptik's facebook page. I have a demo from earlier this year posted there, and I'm working on a second one.

Zune. It's straightforward without any of the fancy stuff I don't care about.

hell yeah. All of those rule. Nobody else listens when I tell them to check out any of those bands. Fleurety is especially underrated.

My phone, it would be a waste of money to use anything else.

Well I don't have anything fancy. When I'm able to I take my old PSP model 1000 lol
Its a hunk of junk but its all I got. However I don't get to listen to music on the go much anymore sadly.
I do have a phone mind you. But I can't put anything on it because the hunk of junk won't connect to my computer.

Not if you have as much music as I have. Getting a Zune was well worth my cash.

I drive everywhere, so I just have a car stereo that I play CD-R's on.

You can get an adapter that would function as an audio jack for iPod/Zune/MP3 player.

yeah, but that costs money.

as do CDRs. That shit will add up, mang. I'm sure a cheap adapter can be found.
I've got an iPod to use for music when out of the house. Having a 120GB MP3 player is very useful for the ongoing growth of my music collection and the fact that I've got a plugin to send music I play on my iPod to my Last.fm account is a sweet bonus.

I'm guessing it's not an iPod. At the time of getting a new MP3 player (the old one ended up having the battery lasting for a mere hour and the backlight of it was fucking horrible), the iPod 120GB was most appropriate for me, although I probably should have went for the 160 instead. I don't know how long my iPod could last for and to be honest, I'm surprised it's lasted for 3 1/2 years now. It's lasted well for sure but an eventual iPod with more space would be nice when the time comes.

DO NOT GET THE 160 GB iPOD!!!!!!! The hard drive is only able to handle about 140 GB stablely. Any more than that and it is prone to crashing. That is the being screwed by Apple I talked about. I found this out after researching why my iPod kept crashing even after calling tech support and having it fixed, I had my computer knowledgeable friend take my iPod apart. And we found that out. So...yeah. Don't get a 160 GB iPod. I got my Archos which has about 250 GB of memory, but at college I mostly just use my laptop as my media player when it is hooked up to my 2 TB hard drive.

Wouldn't it suck if my iPod died now? They discontinued the 120GB iPod so that will be an awkward situation if that happens. Although, what if the iPod's content had less than 140GB used up? Surely that will be fine then.
