I love when he does that :P

I still liked their music and banged my head, but after seeing them the 3rd time it all started to sound the same. My big problem with them is that they sound like they listened to Reign In Blood and decided to add the occasional cleanly sung falsetto for variety. Honestly if their set were only 3 or 4 songs I probably would like them more. If I wanted to hear Reign in Blood I would just listen to Reign in Blood, though.

Well they are planning to make another album so hopefully they will some creativity to their music.

uh, Ghoul, can you upload your stuff on Mediafire or something? I got a download link in my e-mail, followed it, and was told I don't have permission on this server.

Saw Meshuggah last month, they are flawless live but I find their music to be a bit boring. Great crowd atmosphere though.

On the other hand i'm jealous that you're seeing Baroness and Decapitated at the same gig.

Whoops, actually, no Decapitated. Oh well, I'm still a day ahead.

Just listened to Ram-Zet's Intra album. It's amazing. It's like a clusterfuck of industrial, progressive, and post-thrash with female sung vocals and numerous symphonic arrangements. It's a mindfuck, but it's amazing. it sounds like Meshuggah meets The Kovenant meets Dream Theater meets Diable Swing Orchestra.

I listened to in Gloria Sathana. pretty good, though not quite my style. the whole fuzzy, lo fi thing. The vocals are quite good, though sometimes, I couldn't really hear the riffs. Still, it was good, especially the last track, Zombie Goat Satan. Now, I'm listening to Graveyard Metal. I'm really liking the first track, Dies Irae. very cool.

Eternally Dying seems to have a bit of a Kristoffer Rygg influence. Am I right?

Oh, I forgot to ask. Did you do the vocals, or did someone else? Is this all you or were there other people on this album? Also, my friend came downstairs and hear me listening to the Kovenant cover and was like "Who the hell is this> I am digging it!".

I did all male vocals, any female vocals were done by my girlfriend. Everything else was done by me.

wow. Well, good freaking job, then. I'm listening to Dreamfallen right now, but I probably won't finish tonight because I'm hanging with some friends right now. We're gonna get drunk and watch the Walking Dead. It sounds awesome so far, though.

So it's official that I won't be seeing Manilla Road live in London next month. The problem is the city will be far too busy with it being the Jubilee weekend and all. I at least have a heavy consideration to see them outside the UK due to missing out on this opportunity. On the other hand, I might be able to see Megadeth next month.

At 5/17/12 11:07 AM, AniMetal wrote: But they are known for playing sets much longer when they feel like it, I.E. if the ticket price is ridiculously expensive or it's part of a festival.

Clearly that wasn't the case for the UK tour and £48 is still expensive enough for a show that only lasted 90 minutes.

I was away for the weekend but have returned now. I picked up a bunch of albums while I was away so there's tons to go through. I have the new Sonata Arctica album on the playlist so hopefully this album is better than the last one.

Not wanting to sit through the entire 47 minutes, what's the error?

So on Friday I saw Powerglove, The Protomen and Danimal Cannon!

Danimal Cannon is a solo musician, who plays guitar as well as keyboards(using loopmachines) to play like... 8-bit music, it was awesome. All I can say, is check this shit out:

Danimal Cannon 1
Danimal Cannon 2

Then The Protomen came on... nine member band, conceptual theme around Megaman and well... overall INCREDIBLE. They're amazing as is on recording, but SO FUCKING INCREDIBLE live holy shit. If you EVER get a chance to see The Protomen, do it - you WON'T regret it. So much better live. Not really a metal band either, but definitely progressive.

Then of course, Powerglove came on! Awesome power metal band who turns video game and cartoon songs into metal!

Powerglove's setlist:
1. Terra's Theme
2. X-Men
3. Storm Eagle
4. Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man
5. Red Wings Over Baron
6. The Decisive Battle
7. Birth of a God
8. Omnishred
9. Power, Wisdom, Courage
10. Drum Solo
11. Tetris
12. Gotta Catch Em All
13. Mario Minor
ENCORE:
14. Power Rangers

So yeah, awesome!

They played Wacken in 2008 as well. So what? They've been getting a lot of attention since then, i'd say.

Make war, not love.
