Note that I don't actually think he's dead, just that he might as well be, as far as I'm concerned (since he's not in Dream Theater and therefore doesn't really matter at the moment)

You ever listen to Timeghoul?

I may have heard a song here or there but I honestly can't remember. Recs?

They only put out two demos, so you're best off just getting both and the unreleased tracks. I don't really have the eloquence to describe how great Timeghoul is, so just listen to Boiling in the Hourglass and hear for yourself.
Also, have you ever listened to Mass Psychosis? They're the only band I know that can match the insanity of Traumatic Voyage.

Shit. Thanks man. This is awesome.

I've heard a song or two off of Necroporno and some stuff off of Face but I was never able to get my hands on much more than that.

Pic related. It'll be crytopsy all over again.
Also, we haven't gone through and done the mandatory "what'd you get for Christmas" shit yet. Who wants to start?

That show sucks, and that guy sounds like a stereotypical douchy metalhead.

King fucking Diamond.
For Christmas I got some books, one of which is a biography of Thelonious Monk. I also got new shoes (and hopefully I'll get a couple more pairs, i need more than one pair of shoes if I want to make them last), a digital camera, 50 dollars from my grandparents, a dress shirt, blah blah blah. I don't really ask for a lot since there's not really much I want.

Judging from your profile picture I'd say you're worse.

That was fucking sick.
I'm currently stoned as shit watching Hendrix at Woodstock. Metal? Well, Hendrix shreds :)
D3NT, I never fucking realised how technical Band of Gypsy's songs are compared to the Experience songs, no wonder you like their era more. They sound downright Clutch-y in some bits.
Oh and happy holidays metal fuckers \m/
I got lots of nice stuff. John Stewart's Earth the Book, an "art of Heavy Metal" calendar (from the magazine) Strider 2 for PS1, Red Dead Redemption, Muramasa for Wii, Inception, Ong Bak 2, Last Exile box set, Mongol, an awesome movie about Genghis Khan, and lots of interesting food items like cranberry orange butter, Thai iced tea mix, caviar, and assorted liqueur flavored candy, and other stuff. I also got a shirt that says "I support recycling. I wore this shirt yesterday". My father put together home movies from like 1983 to 2003 on DVD, and some home movies from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. I thought that was an amazing gift.

I disagree, but you're entitled to your own opinion.
If it's TSOP you can dub her an official lost cause.

If he joins a good band, he'll still matter to me. Maybe Transatlantic could make another album. I'll be pretty disappointed if he does further work with A7X, though.

Aww, that's really thoughtful. This proves that the most meaningful gifts aren't material possessions, but something special that's made with love.
awesome. I still haven't heard My Arms, Your Hearse.
How dare you, YOU LISTEN NOW.

I love the big battle scene at the end. I've only seen the movie from when he was in the cage, though. I need to watch the whole thing.
For Christmas this year I got a new video card for my computer since I use a lot of hardware accelerated programs it'll be a lifesaver, a $200 gift certificate to EB Games from my mom, a couple of gag gifts and a $50 gift certificate from my sister, rechargeable batteries for my speedlight, Apocalypse Now collector's edition on blu-ray and a new case for my cell phone.
I also got a Von shirt, a Bestial Mockery shirt, an Ad Hominem shirt, a Root shirt, a Horna shirt, a Carcass shirt, a Bathory shirt, a hoodie and a shirt from Hell's Headbangers and a Black Witchery back patch.
This year was pretty crazy since I only asked for the video card and The Pacific on blu-ray.
Also, holy shit nwn. Way to strike when I'm fucking broke.

If it makes you happier, I went with a newer Saxon album they had for £5. I heard some songs on the album and liked them. I can't go with every album I come across on sale and I feel I don't have as much Saxon albums as I should have.

Haha, oh wow. The only jeans I wear are American blue jeans, working man's jeans.
except this new fashionable pair I'm wearing right now with tears in them and a butt pocket pattern :D
Holy shit I'm over 3 months late, but my friend just informed me that the vocalist of Behemoth is really sick. This really sucks, I was looking forward to seeing them next year, hopefully. I hope it doesn't turn into a big thing, my mousepad is personally customized with Behemoth on it D:
Just got 2 crowbar CDs. Their self title and Odd Fellows Rest
We're meat and that's it. So lets fuck it, fuck it, fuck it.

Also to add to the list is Primordial's To the Nameless Dead which I forgot to mention the other day.
