Okay that formatting didn't come out. But you named Benighted twice.

I love how NOBODY here gets that this is a parody of metalcore.

Had to be mentionned twice, for they are fucking awesome. If you need any more Death Metal bands names... I still don't have any problems adding some more... Obscura, Panzerchrist, Cryptopsy, Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Quo Vadis, Demilich, Gorod... need I say more ??? :O

You fail for actually thinking that any of these guys would be so much into their parody of metalcore, they would need to dress and act like core kids, have the same haircuts and same attitude. You can't play it this well... These guys are as core as core gets. You fail...

Cephalic Carnage? I've never given them a proper listen before but from what my friend(whose mainly into stuff like decapitated) this just a parody song and video.
Kind of like how Sum41, a pop punk band, made a parody metal song. (The difference here is that their parody metal song is easily their BEST song hahaha)
It was awesome, the best 23EU I've ever spent... Dark Tranquillity gave a better show, but they were the headliners, and definitely... they're much better alive, but they fucked up some parts of their songs.
Insomnium was just... emotional... I love them even more now, if something like that exist, they're even more than a favourite band, they're like... the rain, the nature, beauty! I was almost crying when they played " Lay of the Autumn". Someone called me three times at "Where the last wave broke" but I didn't care, I was just enjoying it too much...

I just realised, I've NEVER listened to Halford's solo stuff before. For someone who enjoys most of the Judas Priest albums, I'm surprised I never looked into his solo albums. Dunno if I'm the only one here but this can't be right.

I don't know whether these guys are a parody or not, but I don't see why it's so inconceivable that a band could dress and act in this way for the sake of a parody. I mean, some people really love taking parodies as far as they can, it's not like they'll stop and say "Wait you guys, I want to make a believable satirical metalcore band, but I don't want to compromise my external appearance! I realize that this would entirely ruin the integrity of the parody and would most likely result in us being recognized for what we are (frauds), but I just can't be seen with an emo fringe (even if I only keep it for promo pictures and select live performances)."
followup: I don't think this band is a parody. If you could find legitimate evidence for their being satire, feel free to share. Right now, they seem pretty sincere.
This is kind of reminding me of a few nights ago. I got high with some friends and we went back to a friend's dorm, where we sat around and he played post-hardcore (he loves post-hardcore in the same way that some of us love metal) and I got really weirded out because I found myself liking some of it, even though as a rule I usually hate post-hardcore. This is one of the bands I liked (I don't remember what song we listened to though).
Cephalic Carnage is a Grindcore band... not Metalcore... Listen to this.

Were you talking about Cephalic Carnage on the parody thing? Now I'm confused...

Just had a look at the track listing for the albums and came across a song with Bruce Dickinson as a guest vocalist. WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS BEFORE?! You'd think something like this would have easily been discovered if you did further research which I often do.

Just because it's from a genre that gets a lot of flak in here doesn't mean it's bad. I enjoy some post hardcore myself, it's nothing to feel weird about.

Halford is pretty lame. And Bruce's voice has gone just like Ozzie's, James' and Mustaine's.
We need awesome new bands to bang to.
But I'll let you all know how Bruce sounds when I see them March next year, whoah yeah. Same day as Melvins, The Sword, Kylesa and High on Fire. That day will be pretty damn metal.
