No. No I don't.

I don't agree either, they're not a greal black metal band.

They're not a great black metal band either.

Funny thing about "entrepreneur," George W. Bush once said that "the French don't even have a word for 'entrepreneur.'"

To be fair, the French do not have a word for 'entrepeneur'.

Nor do they have words for 'omlette' or 'chateau'.

Funny, that.

I'm listening to the new Rotting Christ album Aealo for the first time right now and I'm pretty confused - it's definitely their most experimental work so far, even surpassing "Genesis" in terms of originality and style.

I'm on the fourth track, and I like what I hear, loved some parts already, but many around here know my huge love for that Greek band and I'm not totally into Aealo yet. Let's see what the next tracks bring.

Anyone else heard it yet?

I've had AEALO for a week now and I like it, but I'm not blown away by it like I was with Theogonia. I hate Sakis' vocals now, but the instruments are cool. I like the inclusion of guitar solos and Greek instruments. The songs definitely grow on you though, which is a good thing. I have noticed that they've included some black metal "breakdowns" if you will, which strangely work. I'm not saying it's bad or good, but it definitely suits the war theme of the album.

Here I am, bored with everything.

I still stand by what I said earlier. I can't personally see how it could compare to something like Sanctus Diavolos.

Yep, 2008 wasn't a great year, It had a few notable albums but that's about it. All I have from 2008 are:

Alestorm - Captain Morgan's Revenge
Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God
DragonForce - Ultra Beatdown (ick)
Judas Priest - Nostradamus
Metallica - Death Magnetic
Motörhead - Motörizer
Opeth - Watershed
Revolution Renaissance - New Era (why do I still have this piece of shit?)

Roughly half of them are good. However, maybe I'm missing out on a few good albums from that year.

Feel free to add to these lists - I just made them off the top of my head.

Okay, I've been going haorse these past few days, singing the repertoire and learning some new tracks. I'm getting close with Lay Down by Priestess and Walk, by PanterA is giving me some trouble, though I should be good enough by Thursday... if my voice holds out.

Though those exclusivity deals only last until the festival. After Downloads over bands are allowed to do tours.
Like Europe at Bloodstock, it was meant to be an exclusive UK date for 2009. Days after a tour was announced :P.

Uhh, Martin Lopez from Opeth? He didn't write the music, but he was able to make his owns drums to match Mikael Akerfeldt's own music writing.

I think pretty much almost every drummer is a musican (cept Ringo and Phill Rudd) but im exicted cause i might go to rock on the range and go see megadeth for the rust in peace tour. And too cause my friend cooper and me are making a thrash, screamo, and hair metal band. (Don't judge me for the hair thing thats wat he wants to do and i dont have a problem with that)

Oh yeah, Megadeth's Rust In Peace 25th anniversary tour isn't coming around my parts either.

Their nearest gig near me is over 4 hours away.

But they're playing with Exodus and Testament also, so it's sort of tempting.

Along with countless other drummers.

But you know he probably wasn't being serious of his list of 'real' drummers was only 4 people, one no one has ever heard of.

I think it's been up and down.

Morning Rise, Deliverance, Damnation, Ghost Reveries and Blackwater Park all have nasty habbits of boring me if I listen to them more than once in a short amount of time.

Hmmmm I should check these guys out.

If you're expecting very experimental progressive with ambient pieces= You will love these guys
If you expect anything else = You will probably find them very boring.

I highly recommend their first three albums(Out Of Myself, Second Life Syndrome, Rapid Eye Movement)

It's a concept album trilogy, it's all one plot about a guy with way too many mental and emotional problems to count.

Their 4th and latest album is VERY different from their first three albums.

Personally, I don't like it as much as their previous albums but it's some peoples favorite album.

And yes, Cryptopsy fucking suck.

You see, with the soul exception of watershed, every album i've listened to that came out of 2008 was either shit(Like Metallica's death magnetic) or really boring, uninspired work(Like Helloween's Gambling)

Does somebody have any suggestions for a band who have a similar kind of singer???
