I just started talking to my ex again on Facebook recently, and I'm trying to get her to come back to New York over the course of the next month.

I really do miss her and think about her every day. She is a power and prog metal kind of person, but more importantly, she's also very easy on the eyes.

Does a girl has to look like a freakin poser goth chick to be into metal? It's funny how you classify people as "indie" or "metal girl" or whatever. My girlfriend doesn't fit in any of these classifications and she's into metal. Not a big fan like me, but I think it's better. I would not like to live with a girl that would be a huge metal fan cause I know that sometimes we would just end up shitting on each others bands, saying how poser, crappy, commercial, corish they are.

Something I have observed though is that I only go out with girls who are into arts. Visual arts most of the time, but also music, reading books and writting poetry or music. These girls are just perfect for me :)

Any Behemoth song showcases his talent, but Slaves Shall Serve is 280 bpm and he still manages fills most drummers couldn't accomplish in a slow song.

No it doesnt. That statement is saying that quality is subjective, people COULD place those on the same level. But thats their opinion, and honestly, I would love to meet that person. I love people with diverse musical tastes because they can find beauty in many genres a lot of close-minded people couldn't. And as far as "levels" of artistry, what makes one artist on a higher level than another? One artist may spend a year making an album, and it could be terrible, whereas one person could make an album in half a year and it could be amazing.

Honestly, what it comes down to is what sounds good. And sometimes that means computer generated notes sound good, too. And with genres varying so vastly today, it's hard to say definitively what genre or artists are better. They are completely different. They can't be compared that way. I used to think the same thing, but honestly, I think that's a little closed minded. Once I grew up a little, I started to see that liking some artists may not be the most popular choice, but if it sounds good, then who cares?

I believe in what I like to call the 99.9%" philosophy. The way I see it, most things are subjective. But there are indeed some things out there that a overwhelming majority of people will think. A majority so large that the minority is barely existent. Say, 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999 [etc.] of people think that BrokenCyde are awful. However, say that they have one fan. Ergo, the statement "BrokenCyde are awful" is not conventionally subjective, and yet it can't be said for certain, because they have one fan.

Although I will admit this argument is very unrealistic. BrokenCyde have no fans.
