What I meant a couple posts back about my friend was that I had one of those moments where u say to ure self I should punch him but don't want to. As for the"crap" music thing some pop bands are good just they play their stuff on the radio which gets irratiting for example I gotta a feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. For the Slayer album It's a good album but they are starting to soften up just a little and they need to go back to their heavy roots. And for some strange reason no one here seems to be saying that Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands that inspired a lot of Metal. And, finally for the Mastodon thing in my opinon their the greatest metal band right now with High on Fire. But before I forget I am really getting tired of hearing about metal bands selling out just cause they experiment with stuff and go to a bigger record company.

All I know is they did Vivaldi's Winter, and it was pretty cool.

Can I join?

A few bands I like are:

Slayer, Oceano, Chimaira, As Blood Runs Black, and Dethklok.

That is a really good song. Black Sabbath set up a bunch of sub genres of metal with their music too.

Sweet Leaf - Stoner metal
Black Sabbath - Doom Metal
Paranoid - General, thrash metal

There are more I'm sure. Black Sabbath kick ass though. My favorite song would be War Pigs, barely beating out Children of the Grave.

I honestly think that "Bring the Noise" with Zakk Wylde sucks total ass compaired to the version with Anthrax.

1. How the hell did you get that username?
2. Not enough bands, but so far the list is good. Post 5 more bands and you're good.

I haven't even heard it yet but I know it will fail. It does have Zakk Wylde in it. The original version with Anthrax is awesome. It was a creative and ballsy move but they did it with style.

I was just randomly checking, and it wasn't taken. I was happy.

5 more bands... let's see...

As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Bullet For My Valentine, the Devil Wears Prada (slightly), and Five Finger Death Punch.

I hope I can join now.

Would it be alright if I join?

I like Black Sabbith, Megadeth, Enforcer, KoRn, and a bunch of 80's thrash metal.

I thought Altar of Sacrifice was fucking awesome, and everything on God Hates Us All is pretty good, while Seasons in the Abyss is the best album they have. I do agree with the solos though, they are pretty annoying. They know how to hold onto notes and use the whammy bar for a good minute after the song is finished and it's annoying.

BEENALONGTIME SINCE I ROCK AND ROOOOOOOOOOOOLLLED.

Well, Led Zepp are enjoyable and have some cool stuff. But they don't really float my boat. Hendrix and Zappa are way better.

Lol.

"Experiment" and "Bigger record company"? That's just a nice way to put "Changing your style to achieve a wider audience" and "Moar monies plox". And that's called selling out.

DT went to a bigger record company and experimented with stuff.

Pretty shit you mean.

When I saw Slayer live, Kerry was doing very nice solos while Hannemann was fucking shit, doing that whammy bar shit and hardly doing anything. Kerry was a beast and Jeff was shite.

Hmm, not sure man. You're pretty borderline. A lot was of them were core, but the first 5 you posted were decent. I can tell you what bands are acceptable and what aren't.

He wasn't complaining about your taste in music(Although he probably hates it) he was commenting on how it wasn't metal, at all.

The only METAL bands you listed were Slayer - Whom everyone knows, Dethklok - Whom isn't a real band and Five Finger Death Punch - Which is such a generic, mainstream shittie band that I hate to consider it metal at all.

So yeah, you can probably join this.

Hell yes, Behemoth and Nile are touring Australia next year.

Devastated that Destruction aren't playing at Metal Month any more, replaced by Malevolent Creation instead, which is... ok I guess. Not a HUGE MC fan to be honest though.

Now this looks like a job for me so everybody, just follow me, cause we need a little; controversy, cause it feels so empty without me.

MC are a good replacement. Not a better band by any means. It might be awesome to see Destruction if they were a good live band but I dunno. But MC have a second guitarist right? More value for money. More brutalness. It's good.

Still just listening to classical music. I'm enjoying Ludwig Van Beethoven's piano sonatas, and Chopin's piano stuff. I have a liking for Vladimar Horowitz and Stanislav Bunin's piano playing, it's pretty sweet.

Probably the heaviest and most brutal stuff of it's time.

Bahamut, I love how much of a good hearted moral crusader you are. I feel kinda bad for scaring the poor kid away. My bad.

But seriously. Fuck metal. Classical is where it's at. Beethoven was like technical fucking death metal back then. It was the heaviest shit of it's time. And it's incredibly old school.

Tell me it doesn't shit on tech death solos. It's fucking amazing and you all know it.

No one can play the fourth movement of Beethoven's twelfth piano sonata like Sviatoslav fucking Richter. NOBODY.

Fucking orgasm =O, well Marilyn Manson was here on Tuesday, and probably there will not be another Metal concert in Portugal until summer, BUT I also can check local bands playing in Bars, and there are here excelent local bands, also Moonspell and RAMP but I don't know if they will play here some day, I also found Moonspell bassist, Don Aires, in a cover band, it was great I met him, and I gave him an handshake and talked a bit to him, he is fuckin' nice.
