Maybe you don't hate core, but a lot of the others do.

Quo Vadis

I wouldn't classify them as Melodic Death Metal. I'd say they are Technical Death Metal.

MDM suggestions

Nightrage
Darkane
Profugus Mortis (now known as Blackguard)
Falchion
Kalmah
Sol Asunder
Winds Of Plague (on the verge between core and melodeath)
Threat Signal (same as above)
Warmen
Norther
Scar Symmetry
Soilwork

I'd like to go to some shows in a few weeks and Marduk will be in Montreal with Nachtmystium and I'd like to know if they are worth it. Thanks mates :)

This dumbass totally aced his music performance exams and did better than everyone else who went for them. He also just finished a four page essay on the differences and similarities between Wolgang Amadeus Mozart's 'Don Giovanni', Robert Schumann's 'Dichterliebe' and Richard Strauss' 'Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks'.

Now go eat your fucking cake.

Also, awesome bands I'm hopeflly seeing live next year at Soundwave:

Anthrax
Baroness
Clutch
Faith No More
Meshuggah
Isis

How awesome is that :D:D:D:D

Also, this means if I see Metallica one day, I will have seen all of the big four of thrash live. Sweet.

This entire sentence is essentially flame bait, rendering your point more or less invalid.

Sunn O))) are playing here in December.
They are playing in Manchester, but if I'm going then I definately have to travel to either the shit hole that is Birmingham, or the much farther and much more terrifying London. Why? Because Om are supporting on those two dates!

I really hope I can get money for this. Sunn would be pretty sweet. But Om would be aaaammmmaaazziiiinngg.

Funny enough, those were three bands I looked into. Like you said, Waylander are OK and Primordial are pretty good. I did enjoy the music I heard from Cruachan. I also looked into Mael Mordha who were also enjoyable from what I heard.

And dude, every country has its metal.

Not Vatican City, though.

I got the new album, I'll listen to it soon. I also learned The Art of Partying on guitar. It's not hard per say, just insanely fast and hard to keep up with.

It takes longer to write a review on a Municipal Waste album then it does to listen to it the whole way through ^_^

Yeah, really. Their songs on average are maybe two minutes long? That's why we love them though I guess.

Geez son, mine says 5.67 gigs. That can't be correct though, because my iPod can hold 8 gigs but I can't fit all of my music on it.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-11-13 01:38:02

49.57 gigs.

How many gigs of music you have is an irrelevant way of measuring. Because the amount of disc space has a number of factors, not just how much music you have, but more importantly what bit rate the music you have is at.

50gb could be an incredible collection of poor quality music.
It could also be a rather small collection of high quaity music.

Running time is probably the best way of flaunting your musical e-penis.
