Okay, I recently heard some Morbid Angel stuff. I quite enjoyed, but where would recommend for me to start looking for albums to get by them? While I'm on the subject of recommendations, where should I start with Mercyful Fate/King Diamond's stuff? I've heard both of these bands are good, so I just want to get a starting place.

This.
Also Impending Doom are x100 worse than JFAC.
Just another cut&paste Christian Deathcore preachy band. Eugh.
I actually kinda like the new JFAC album, has some decent Death Metal qualities.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

Yeah I've been high all day. The song is a lot better high.
I'm a big fan of the blues. I'll record some heavy stoner rock stuff with my band though and post it. Can't just show you guys acoustic shit.
So I'm about to go look up the word catamite on an online dictionary. The confidence in my vocabulary has fallen deeply.
And Lamb of God are officially a shitty non-metal band. Listening to them on my friends iPod while smoking cones and accidently starting a bush fire and frantically putting it out. Haha fun times.
And deathcore deathcore deserves negativity. As do Job for a Brokeback.
......... And yes women are fucked up. Toke up and deal with it seems to be working well for me.
Now that I know what a catamite is, I feel compelled to say this.
TakeNoPrisoners, you are a werd fucking fucked up little bitch.

Come to think about, I've never listened to Deathcore before, unless Cryptopsy's Unspoken King counts as something. I did listen to one song on that album just to find out how bad it is.
Oh well, it's just one song.

It counts...
and I've seen with which bands they are going to be touring....
Despised Icon... Blind Witness...
I mean... these two bands are ok deathcore....
but what the fuck?!? Cryptopsy never was meant to become deathcore...
I was also wondering if Blasphemy Made Flesh was as good as None So Vile. Anyone?
JIZZ!!!!!
Out of Norway's biggest and darkest metal bands rises Ov HELL. This group of Satan's all-stars has been sharpening their teeth in some of black metal's most influential bands for many years. Known as key figures in bands such as Dimmu Borgir and Gorgoroth, Shagrath and King have come together to bring forward a new chapter in Norwegian black metal history. Ov HELLwill carry on in the same tradition for which King and Shagrath are known, but the collaboration between the two will mark a new era for them both.
Frost, Ice Dale and Teloch have been recruited for the first full-length release.
The album will contain all of the power and blast beats worthy of their evil pedigrees. Expect an assault on all false gods and hypocrisy that is of this world today.
"The first Ov HELL release will contain music I've worked on in my Gorgoroth
and God Seed years. It's been a little hell to actually see this music form into a band, so the name of the band is quite suitable. Through the first song I got
from Shagrath I knew that he would be the perfect man to join forces with.
He has strong individual qualities and a strong will to power. I am very positive that when we finish up this album it will be an album that won't sound like anything we have done before, and with a quality that won't stand back from anything presented in black metal earlier!" - King
"With both of our demanding music careers and other projects, timing was not on our side. After last years inferno festival, King and I yet again joined forces to brainstorm our need to collaborate our passion for dark art. Over the course of the past year, King sent me demo ideas that were so inspiring it made me put my skeptic feelings aside. I wasn't sure if I wanted to have another Black Metal project but my unquenchable thirst to explore my darkest beast, launched the birth Ov HELL. The majestic Ov HELL has become a band that reflects our roots, raw, ugly, arrogantly blasphemous with uncompromising truth from two influential Norwegian musicians needing to express our primitive side, straight out Ov HELL." -Shagrath
Two new tracks, "Devil's Harlot" and"Ghosting" from the yet untitled upcoming album, has been uploaded to the band's MySpace.
Studio Line-up:
Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir, Chrome Division) - vocals
King (God Seed, Gorgoroth, Jotunspor, I, Sahg, Audrey Horne) - bass
Ice Dale (Enslaved, I, Audrey Horne, Trinacria, Demonaz) - guitar
Frost (Satyricon, 1349) - drums
Teloch (Nidingr, God Seed, 1349, Umoral) - guitar

Maybe I haven't listened to enough Deathcore to tell what it is and what it isn't, but I don't think The Unspoken King was Deathcore.
Just shitty Melodic Death Metal with too many breakdowns.
Oh, wait.

Anyone have any thrash metal bands to recommend? I've recently been in a really thrashy mood, so any suggestions will be welcome (except for the following bands, because I already know them):
Metallica
Megadeth
Slayer
Anthrax
Overkill
Annihilator
Voivod
Testament
Death Angel
Sepultura
Kreator
Artillery
Exodus
Flotsam and Jetsam
Vio-lence
Metal Church
Nuclear Assault
Yeah... so don't recommend any of those guys. Any progressive death bands would be welcomed as well, preferably stuff like Gojira or Opeth.

Also add Warbringer, Bulldozer is good too (at least i think so anyway), though they lean towards more a heavy sort of side...

No. You already expressed your opinion on deathcore. And you should know that your opinions are not facts. If you look at titles like In The Arms Of Perdition by Despised Icon you will realise that most of their riffs are great death metal riffs. And their growler is actually a fucking badass growler. The drummer also kicks major asses and hit is double bass-drum faster than a full automatic rifle can shoot.
So yeah, alright. You hate all deathcore. blah blah blah. Just like Bill said. Once you expressed your opinion on a subject you do not need to complain each and everytime someone express is appreciation towards the genre.

there's a weird smell over here. Yeah, I do that smell. Smells like... opinions...

Crossover doesn't sound anything like core. Crossover is thrash metal + hardcore punk. Core is mostly melodeath with some thrash + (pop) punk.
No one has claimed anything was fact Duff. If Ponos says something, its his opinion. People don't say 'In my opinion' before everything because it'd become annoying. It's just a given.
And its always been the way that if someone talks about the untr00 then they get a slamming. It's how we deter from that sort of chatter :P.

No, core is melodeath with some trash and hardcore (you know... like Throwdown)
And I ear similarities between Municipal Waste and some core music.

That's absolutely not what I said...

just read. I said if you already expressed your opinion on a subject you don't need to mess with people each and everytime they express their appreciation of the named genre of music.

I don't see why not. It stops people from talking about it in here.
