A metal song, he says. That's a good one.
and Sense-Faggot
Oh, he's a clever one.
Kidd, my man, I'm really digging those songs. The riffs are sinister, and they sound fresh original, even though they're probably not. I really like the drums, too. They're well placed, and well played. If I had to criticise one thing, it'd be that some of the rhythm playing is a little sloppy. But apart from that, it's all good. Your band rocks. [insert coin for more positive criticism]
Also, I checked out Machine Head's first album.
What the fuck? Maybe I'm imagining things. But I thought people called this Thrash?
This barely even qualifies as Metal. The songs are all overproduced and too slow. They don't sound aggressive, like Thrash should. It sounds like a toothless old man waving his cane at some young 'uns. Said miscreants (Municipal Waste, Tankard, Onslaught, etc.) then proceed to kick his ass and notify him of who 'runs this shit'.
I'm actually going to go ahead and say that their Nu Metal shit was better. At least they didn't claim to be something they weren't in those days.
Am I late to the party again?

Ah yeah, I know what you mean. When I solo in jazz band, I always accidentally end it a measure or two too soon (unless i'm soloing over an easy chord progression, like blues or something).
Damnit!
Do you guys ever feel this way?
I am a huge Death Metal fan, and I'm always looking for the heaviest, the most brutal and agressive band. I thought that when I found Origin, I actually did find the heaviest, but Death Metal is like a drug to me and soon enough, Origin just didn't felt heavy enough for me anymore.
What I'm looking for is the most technical, the most brutal, the best of the Brutal Tech Death scene. And if anyone knows of bands that would fit my tastes, feel free to leave me a few names.
But I'm not looking only for brutal stuff, I really want it to be as technical as it is brutal.
Thanks guys!

I was in that phase not long ago.
Some bands you should look into:
Emeth
Braindrill
Fleshgod Apocalypse
Separatist
The Faceless
Decrepit Birth
Odious Mortem
Ignominious Incarceration
You may have heard of some of those already so yeah whatever :P
Also none of they, bar Fleshgod Apocalpyse, Braindrill and Separatist are really as fast as Origin.
But they are all very technical.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

The Faceless are hardly heavy.
Sort yerself out with some Carcass.
The Faceless - Leica
Are Abigail Williams Metal or Core?
from what I can hear, they're like Black metal+ Deathcore , the core is mostly because of the vocals.
I wish they had different vocals.
Abigail Williams- Into the Ashes
Still haven't found my ticket yet. Fuck. This isn't turning out good.
As far as The Faceless goes, I saw them twice. I wasn't really impressed either time.

I'm in a band with these emo -core lovers and Abigail Williams was in their iTunes. So I'm throwing the too gay to listen card down.
Megamail #148 Studio Update: We Are Done!
STUDIO UPDATE: "WE ARE DONE!"
Dave Mustaine has issued the following studio update at TheLIVELine.com:
"I'm at the studio right now, Vic's Garage, and we are done! We're just right now finishing the last couple of notes on the new record, and Andy's getting ready to pack his bags and head up to Los Angeles tomorrow to get ready to fly back home on Thursday. Man, this has been a long, grueling, enduring process but it's been so worth it, and I'm so excited. I'm more excited about this record then I've been in any record since back in the 1980's. I would say, probably since, well definitely since "Rust In Peace" there's nothing that's excited me this much - maybe "Countdown", but this is just absolutely insane."
Wow.

Don't people say that for every album they release? 'Omg I'm excited! And to make fans think I'm serious I'll mention two of our albums that were actually brilliant'.

I've not listened to any of their nu metal albums and I don't intend to at all, but it can't be that bad to you. Burn My Eyes is a decent album.

I'm not sure what to expect from their new album, but all I hope for is for less politcal bollocks than United Abominations.
