kool ill check them out. i downloaded the aborted song called "Hecatomb" sounds pretty good. whats sum bands sorta like aborted, the berserker(damn forgot to put them on favs) or decapitated? cos the last pages of metal hammer magazine dont gimme good enuff bands sumtimes....

Aborted is awesome, you should try to get their albums "The Archaic Abattoir", "Goremageddon" and "Engineering the Dead"

Also try Illdisposed , you can find a mp3 in their media section.

Also check out Panzerchrist, Belphegor, Vader and Behemoth :) all great bands :)

BTW, Metal Hammer isn't really a good magazine to start with.

Hey guys, I just got "Grand Declaration Of War" and "US Legions" by Mayhem, and both are AWESOME!!! Grand Declaration is heavily war themed, and has "part 2" and "part 3" to the thing started by Wolf's Lair Abyss which was part one, and part two is really the fastest music I've ever heard. It goes faster and faster and faster with no relent then just stops, and you're left with nothing, and it slowly builds in intensity (though without the speed of part two) in part three, until it comes to a climax in Crystallized Pain In Destruction, where it again goes hyper fast at the end of the song, then drops out again, and what you're left with is a slow and dirge like song, "Completed Science In Agony" which is incredibly, well, agonizing, then comes to a finale with To Daimonion. Awesome album, though in part three it has heavy electronic elements, it's still awesome. Very redefining. To summarize,

WLA- Part one, pre-war

GDoW- Part two, War

GDoW- Part three, post-war destruction and fallout.

Awesome. Just awesome.

Yes. I regularly talk to him via msn messanger, and we vote up each other's stuff. I love a hearty dose of good ol' misogynist gore metal, and that's gorebastard. Of course, I'm more about inhuman, unholy black metal, but that's just me.

I am into all forms of metal, even some Nu-Metal.
But I prefer more classic Heavy Metal, and NWOBHM, like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple (More rock, actually, but you get the idea), Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead.
