You probably don't like much speed/thrash then. And you probably definitely don't like Meshuggah.

has anyone here listenend to winds of plague before? I heard them for the first time today and dont know what to think...

They're nothing like Slayer, they're a damn sexy band and play sexy music.
Personal favourites in no particular order:
Combustion - One of the songs that came to mind when you said that Slayer was 'all over the place'.
Bleed
Pineal Gland Optics
Sane
In Death - Is Life + In Death - Is Death + Shed (Basically, all of Catch 33, its pretty much one big song).
Anyone else is free to add to the list if you must.

Yes, but spelling Theatre as Theater in Dream Theater is mandatory.

MetallicaNO! Everything past And Justice for all is shit
Regardless, they still count.

I hereby declare Razor's "Shotgun Justice" a Thrash Metal classic.

I like Evil invaders better.

I agree - even if it is the case that some bands out there listened to their music and thought "we'd better make sure that our music sounds nothing like that god-awful dirge that calls itself 'Slayer'."

Faith No More may be at the 'less extreme' end of Metal, but occasionally, their stuff can be called Metal. Die Toten Hosen have written some excellent songs, with great driving rhythm - I love the introduction to Hier Kommt Alex, as it's so technical, but it sounds awesome. I'd wager that they influenced Rammstein, being active for a whole 12 years before they came about.

"What are you listening to?"
"Dream Theater.
"Solo, or intro?"
"Solo!"
"I'll put the kettle on, we've got time, so crank it up."

They are ok, they have a little bit too much of the generic Deathcore feel in a lot of their songs though.
Gets boring pretty quick.

True Satanism is Polytheistic, meaning that it has many gods, in fact I can name the four cheif gods off my mind right now...If I couldnt I wouldnt be much of a satanist eh? To clarify, I'm actually a Norse Paganist with many satanic, luciferian, and germanic angol-saxon paganism beliefs....I think Im one of a kind :D
On a seperate note...Glenn Benton branded his crucifix because no one would take him seriously. As Morbid angel also cut themselves and bled into chalices after shows, for the same reason. What Im saying is yes, he may be a satanist, but he didnt burn a crucifix into his head because he was a satanist...he burned it into his head because he wanted people to stop treating him like a satanist who is in the music for shock value...not a very smart thing to do eh :P
Its still badass to see Glenn Benton's crucifix in his forehead.
Amon Amarth-Amon Amrth
There are much better Amon Amarth songs then that one.

Well it wasn't in the topic starter post and most newer users don't bother to read the latest page or so before requesting to join.
You just have to learn to deal with it.

When you are around level 15+, have at least 2,000 posts and have been around for about a year as well as learn better grammar then you will have completely rid yourself of the title noob.

hmm, well just because I dont post in any other forum, because 90% of the other people in this site are assholes...and that my other newgrounds account crashed a in october (I forgot my password...goddammit), that makes me a noob....hmm you should really learn about someone before condemning them to something.

Well the lack of post count only makes you a BBS noob.
Your a newgrounds noob due to the fact your account isn't a year old and your level 8. Also your grammar + spelling needs improvement otherwise it screams noob as well.

anyway, I dont really care if I am "a noob"...the term means literally nothing to me. About the only thing is that it is "a stupid insault that should only be slung around when joking", as I was kidding before, when I said that the "n00bzes destroy my braincells".
on a more important note, IXXI is a pretty good band :D
they sound alot like Marduk tho...well Marduk mixed with Mayhem and some Burzum influences.
Thanks for recommending Deicide guys, listening to Legion right now; Trifixion makes me want to punch somebody in the face...in a good way

I just want people like burnout to stop going "NO!" whenever someone trying to join posts a band that's metal, but they don't like it. I think it sends the wrong message to new members.
