I'm not reduxx but I think most of the ridiculous praise they get is from people whose favorite genre is melodic death metal. They seem to be one of the best that melo-death has to offer but the self titled, as much as I can get into it sometimes, sounds incredibly samey from song to song. I suffer these days trying to listen to it in one sitting.

Do I think it's great music? Yes. There are moments on the album that are insanely uplifting and catchy and every once in a while I find myself coming back to them. every opinion has its place just like every musician has his/her place though they still might suck anyways. One of my favorite power/melodic metal bands is Lost Horizon. Daniel Heiman has some of the best vocals of any vocalist I've ever heard, though the bands guitar riffs and drums can become very repetitive. Too bad Heiman left and the band is still searching for a vocalist

Have not listened to them in a while but have been a fan from the beginning and like all their work. In fact the last gig I ever set up for my band was to be an opening slot for them. Sadly the promoter canceled the gig and it never happened, I still think of the gig that could have been.

HOLY SHIT opening for BT is dreamy dude, hell I wish I could catch any Bolt Thrower gigs here in portugal but sadly I've heard of none.

Yeah, I did some research and found more than a few bands that I wouldn't call Metal on this list, so we haven't got much to complain about, especially when people are telling me "NO!" to System of a Down.
