i listen to many sorts of metal.

bands i like are: (not listed by ranking)

Blotted Science - progressive (they can give me a relaxed feel, or really pump me up.)
Finntroll - folk metal (their songs are fun to listen to.)
Korpiklaani - also folk metal (while not as good as Finntroll, it's still pretty good.)
Dimmu Borgir - melodic black metal (i must agree that their vocals aren't the best about it, but the guitars and especially the drums make me cream.)
Powerglove - speed/video game metal (the drums suck but the guitars are awesome, my fave are tetris and mario)
Apocalyptica - ...cello metal? (it's awesome that you can make such awesome music with just cello's.)
Therion - gothic metal (well, sometimes i enjoy the music, although the female voices sometimes bug me.)
Alestorm - scottish pirate metal (xp) (don't take their lyrics serious, it's all about fun!)
Sepultura - ....metal? (well.. yeah, they're not my favourite band but they're okay.)
Nirvana - grunge (it counts right?)
Dethklok - [some say melodic] death metal (it has the brutality of deathmetal, but you can still comprehend the lyrics.., sortof. oh, i laugh my ass off with the lyrics.)

i have been jumping around about 10 pages (yeah, what did you think? 1834 pages!) , and i was surprised that nobody mentioned Dethklok. how can you not mention it, in all it's awesomeness? and for the ones who don't know them: SHAME ON YOU! DICKHEADS! they're from a metal-ass show called metalocalypse, it's so brutal it'll make your face melt and your anus bleed. but i'm sure you guy's will know them. :D

Dethklok is funny, but they should not be taken serious as a band. Their just putting out music for the sake of comedic purposes. I in fact did like the Dethalbum, and am waiting for the Dethalbum V.2...damn that brendon small.
