hahahah! go do it...whatever floats your boat...I don't see the point in corpse rape...

I think your still misunderstanding me...I'm saying that it is illegal to do so, but they don't have many incidences of necrophilia type crimes...and even less bestiality, and I don't think they have ever had a necrobeastiality incidence there ever.

if you remember my earlier posts, I said I like Finntroll, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, stuff like that, which is folk metal.

I also like some melodeth, but not all of it.

I'm inspired by a lot of stuff...I guess I was exaggerating when I said that I don't like anything out of the black metal genre. my apologies.

people are only rude because of the constant crappy wheather (sp).
Well if its constantly crappy then they're constantly rude. So they're just rude, fullstop.

its not constantly crappy D: Bergen has many beautiful days per year.

thats bullshit, KK and Glenn of Judas have amazing talent, and so does Lars and Krik of Metallica...Iron Maiden are mediocre.

Tony Iomi has hella talent too, dont get me wrong, but its extreme to say that JP and Metallica dont have any talent.

Steve Harris is a metal bassist, they're more funk oriented.

Claypool didn't get into Metallica for a reason, after all.

still, that doesnt mean that they arent good...those "funk oriented" bassists are three of the best bassists in the world...the reason Claypool didnt get into metallica is because metallica didnt like the sound, not that he didnt have talent.

Agreed. Claypool is one of the most talented bassists alive.

Bootsy Collins is good too.

Bass-wise, my fave bassists are Bootsy Collins, Les Claypool, and Clif Burton.

What's this shit about Judas Priest not having any talent? First of all, talent isn't necessary to be influential, good, or fun to listen to, all of which Judas Priest are. Secondly, Judas do have talent. Like, what songs have you listened to? Breaking the Law? Listen to fucking Ram it Down or Painkiller.

I said they had talent because Ani said they didnt...I didnt mean that they were godlike.

as for drummers, my favorite is Kaish Doane of Vital Remains...he is insane.

Sweden seems pretty safe to live in. Some dude got fined because dudes came around inspecting everyone's houses, and found some dude without his loaded gun next to the door. Everyone has a gun, means nobody would be wanting to come fuck your shit up.

relevant because Sweden = Death metal.

FIxed.
Also, Iron Maiden rules. I mean, they have a lot of great songs that are clasics of metal music.
Also, do you consider AC/DC a non metal influence?

well I would say that AC/DC is amazingly Influential both in and out of the metal genre, but he was saying that Metallica, Black Sabbath, Maiden, and JP are the most influential metal bands. :D

Bah, you should have gone looking for their Warchest, 4 cd's and 1 DVD for about...$70-$90. A very decent deal and it gives you an insight to nearly all their albums, and some live songs.

Woah I go away for a day and there's like 3 pages.
Someone wanna summarise?

Went and saw Satyricon last night. Was a fantastic show.
The support band Aeon of Horus were really good too, but kind of inappropriate support really considering they are Technical Death Metal.

I managed to stay 2 people away from the barrier so I didn't get many good photos, way to hard =(

Alright, I'm going to set a few things straight here.

Black Sabbath invented proto-metal, Judas Priest were bona-fide heavy metal, Iron Maiden were the modern metal asthaetic and Metallica suck period and didn't do anything that Overkill didn't do before them.

And if you're going to get into who's the best bassist around I'd suggest you check out Spiral Architect, their bassist is crazy.

I'm looking for some more Death Metal bands to add to my list

Last.fm is helping me a lot, but I trust a couple of you guys in terms of knowledge of this beautiful metal genre.

I'm looking for tech death bands, to be more precise.

Blotted Science, Cryptopsy, Necrophagist, Quo Vadis, Sigh and Cynic (not quite sure about the specific genre of the last two though) are the bands that I already know of, but I'd like to get some infos about other bands of this sub-genre.

Thanks buds.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-03-23 16:10:03

Atheist is the best tech death band you can get.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-03-23 16:14:43

Demilich and Gonin-Ish are brilliant too.
You can get Demilich's album from their website for free.

Sleep Terror are worth checking out as well. And Behold... the Arctopus maybe.

Also Gonin-Ish is good prog death and Phlebotomized is good avant-garde death.

Black metal vocalists have higher voices. They're not that hard to tell apart.

exactly...listen to Sargeist or Nargaroth and then go and listen to Athiest or Deicide...COMPLETELY different...
