Abigail Williams is no longer on the tour.

Also, I was a bit surprised at how big my ticket turned out to be.

LiveNation's tickets have been that big for a few months now, haven't they?

Either way, I'm seeing Mastodon, Kylesa, and Intronaut on the 9th of May I believe. I'm pumped.

Here I am, bored with everything.

Slayer are much faster and darker.
They're a bit bland too.

Megadeth are more Proggy and Technical in their riffs and the lyrics are much more political.
They're fucking good. Get Rust in Peace now!

No, I don't like melogay at all. But I thought maybe melodeath with vikings could be awesome. Especially after all the lurve they got. Ah well.

Slayer, more like Blandy Bland from Blandville. Chyeah.

Megadeth are a complicated creature. I listen to their first 4 albums a fair bit. These re-recorded versions piss me off though. I did buy the original CD of their debut, which is awesome, because the production is shite. And that rules.

I don't see what the big cry about the remasters is. I have both Rust in Peace and Peace Sells in the remastered form and they seem perfectly listenable to me. The extra songs they added are pretty crap but I just don't listen to those tracks.

Slayer has a bunch of good songs, mainly on Show no mercy and Seasons in the abyss, but most of their songs are boring.

St. Patrick's Day today made me realise that I don't listen to any metal artists from Ireland, which is odd considering I would have thought I'd have listened to some metal artists from there by now.

At 3/17/09 07:49 AM, Nev wrote: and the lyrics are much more political.

Although maybe they were too political on their two latest albums. :P But yeah, Rust in Peace is a must for Aci6!

Good God, man.

I seriously advise checking out the following shit:
Mael Mordha
Cruachan
Abadon Incarnate
Painkiller (pretty underground, I wouldn't count on finding any stuff from them)
Waylander
Primordial

We love Folk Metal, as you might have gathered.

Led Zeppelin aren't Metal.
If you want to join you need to list 8 other Metal bands you like.
To save us time, if the band aren't on here then they're not Metal as classed by us.

And note to self: Don't mix 4 5 mg clonozapams, 1 bottle adult robitussin cough syrup, and a glass of tanqueray gin. A complete memory loss, a bunch of broken glass, an entire day zapped from my memory, and a psychotic break resulted.

also, I wrote 4 songs while I was in the loony bin.

The Glass Walls (A long-ish speed metal number)
Starborn Children of War (A not so long speed metal number)
Space Love (A slow 16-beat power metal love song)
Unsaved (An even slower depressing waltz about death and decay)

And for once my lyrics are easy to sing and they rhyme. For instance, a sample stanza from Unsaved:

The fields in his domain lay fallow
As their master's heart died hollow
Lifeless he laid, his fate had been made
No angel would mourn the farewell he bade

And a sample verse from Space Love:

Upon vanquished eyes you gaze
My soul begs for shards of eros
Your effervescent gleam, that none can faze
And as time goes on, upon it my focus narrows

A journey to the stars
Begins and ends with you
And if I am on Mars
with you, my soul is rendered new
