Hell yeah is right. I've only gotten more metal with time, and my most active band (Angband) is rehearsing fairly often. We played at a couple parties, including a NYE party, and it was fuckin awesome. I did a bass solo in between "The Unchaining" and "Shine Forever" and we were easily the most black metal band there.

So what have I missed? It's been a while, and the though the last 2 years have been hell for the members of Angband, due to several legal, medical, and psychiatric issues on the behalf of all 3 members, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

As well, I hereby request reinstation as the 3rd Horseman of the Metal Hell. Since I no longer have to worry about goin to jail, I can devote a larger portion of my life towards internet-type activities, as well as work, school, music, and writing.

I feel honored by the welcome I have received, and apologize for going MIA. Won't happen again.

Hellfire Club is their best album, but Mandrake and Theater Of Salvation are also quite interresting albums. Edguy was one of the first metal band that I really got into along with Stratovarius and Children Of Bodom.

I've left Power Metal behind me as I learned some more shit about other metal sub-genres. That was a mistake cause Power Metal is just awesome... but you really need to find the good bands... cause there's a fucking proliferation of shitty power metal bands.

Last night I went on a birthday hike with a friend of mine. It wasn't the most epic of our hikes but we did get lost, and I fell of my friends car and have a little bit of road rash on my hands and shoulder.

Power metal is awesome. I prefer the speed/power metal style of old Blind Guardian, Iron Savior, and Grave Digger, but I still listen to more flowery bands like Heavenly and Avantasia every so often.

wow, i completely fucked up my post. I meant to say that I went on a birthday hike with 10 friends of mine to celebrate Cody's birthday. And it was less of a hike and more of a night hiking/trespassing adventure. Many barbed wire fences were crossed, and a lot of creeping around in a cemetery.

I tend to forget about the bands that I don't like...
and I wasn't saying Power Metal is shit :P
But power metal is quite basic. Musicians after choosing to play this kind of music can do whatever they want with it. Make it more complexe and work on harder riffs and more complexe structures. But basic power metal will include a lot of power chords, 4/4 riffs, clean vocals... and that's pretty much it. There is a ton of good power metal band. But I could start a power metal project right away... put together a couple ultra-basic power chords riff and say "I'm power metal."

Don't get me wrong, Power Metal is awesome, but it's easy to make a crappy power metal band.
