Watershed is fucking brilliant. It's their best album since Blackwater Park.
Yeah that is basically the only recent album by an older band that hasn't been a failure or boring.

Also the line-up for bloodstock looks fucking ace so far! Turisas, Amon Amarth, Candlemass, Satyricon, The Haunted. Holy shit.
I'd totally see that concert! I don't know why people are saying that would suck.

Ah man, I wish cool metal bands would come to my town. The closest venue is usually in LA, and that's too far for me haha.
The venue I always go too is an hour away from my house.
It'd be awesome if their was a venue, let alone a popular venue, within twenty minutes of my house.
Does anyone here have a venue close to their house that they can get to easily?

Speaking of which, does anybody like Thehaunted? I used to love them a while ago, it's been too long since I've checked them out.
Actually no, they are the only band on that lineup I haven't heard of.

At the rotting christ and opeth concerts I went to people were rambling on about how when they release their first album in febuary it'll be a major progressive, symphonic, technical death metal masterpiece.
People keep talking about how these guys are going to have an absolutely epic first album.
Have you guys heard anything about this band? Or better yet, has anyone here heard any of their music?
Seriously, have you guys?
I got this card at the rotting christ and this is what it says on the back:
"From the valleys of southern Wisconsin come Luna Mortis. At once melodic and abrasive, symphonic, technical and engaging, the female-fronted quintet blurs genre lines and transcends convention, carving a niche all their own, providing a new and powerful voice in metal. Since the solidification of their lineup in 2006, the band has consistently set a very high standard for live performance in their native Midwest, delivering precise renderings of their recorded material with unbridled intensity. The strength of this band's live performance has allowed them opening spots for such epic acts as Metallica, Megadeth, Slayers, Children of Bodom, Trivium, All that Remains, Nightwish, Nevermore, Dream theater, Symphony X, Amon Amarth, Sonata arctica, Stratovarius, Into Eternity, Arch enemy, Manowar and many, many more including the timeless and for ever amazing godfathers of heavy metal IRON MAIDEN!!! Look for Luna Mortis's Century Media debut, entitled "The Absence", on February 10th, 2009 and expect tour dates to be announced in the upcoming months."
And then it lists the lineup which contains two guitarist, a bass-guitarist, a drummer, a keyboardist and a female singer.
I've never heard of any of the members before except for the lead guitarist who is also the lead guitarist in the melodic death metal band Epicurean.
What do you guys think cause i've been hearing alot about these guys from the few metalfans I know at school and at concerts.
