Eh, Beer is really only good when you're already drunk. I kinda hate it becuase I have to like drink a case and a half just to get a bit drunk. So I prefer liquor.
On that note I got drunk with my buds Anthony and Austin last night, and all was running smooth until Anthony gets drunk. And I'd have to say he is like the last person you want to get drunk with, becasue He was REALLY annoying then got really violent and then hes all like worshiping me. He was a MAJOR buzzkiller I'd start getting a bit drunk then he go's on rambling about something or other.
Well all and all I anit ever getting drunk with him again.
On a metal note, I want to know what is THE most evil, vile and disturbing Black Metal band.
Something that would give me chills.

It all depends, people sometimes get metal confused with black metal, death metal, etc.
Black Sabbath IS metal, but maybe not the metal he is talking about.
Beer is great, I can't drink it all night and I'll always switch to either cider or spirits, but beer = man. And no beer = fag.

I was listenning to that band named Versailles, it's a Japanesse band
and after listenning to The Revenant Choir and After Cloudia , which are songs from their 2008 album, I thought that it was quite obvious that they should be classified as Symphonic Power Metal or even Speed Symphonic Power Metal, but after listenning to their song named Zombie ... I wasn't sure anymore...
I'm still pretty sure that they are Power Metal, but the intro of Zombie just doesn't sound Power Metal.

Visual Kei is the gayest thing ever.
Next to Lolita and Scene.
Unfortunately, the bands that use Visual Kei are mostly pretty epic.

J Rock is pretty much an Umbrella Term for all Japanese Rock/Metal bands.
Kind of like the terms (not the genres): 'Rock' and 'Heavy Metal' everywhere else.

Ok, and how is it gay?
that guitarist, even with a dress is kicking asses :P
And I don't see why this should be any gayer than any other band that is wearing costumes... like GWAR or black metal bands

ryan does have a point; wearing dresses and makeup is pretty gay. i mean literally gay. not that there's anything wrong with that, i'm just saying
however, it's not the dresses that bother me, it's when bands put so much emphasis on how they look, rather than how they make their music. i mean, the music was pretty good (of the 30 seconds i listened to).
GWAR is different though because that's their thing, and it's related to the music/stage shows.

You should watch the whole thing maybe, they really are sticking to some themes.
I just found this on Wikipedia, here is the link to the whole thing.
But here's the part I want you to read:
Kamijo and Hizaki created the concept of Versailles in the autumn of 2006 and spent six months gathering members to express it. Their band concept is "the absolute youshikibi (beauty of form) sound and extremes of aestheticism".
At 11/16/08 06:03 PM, HeavenDuff wrote: But here's the part I want you to read:
I already read the whole wikipedia. I still think it's weird. If a bands gonna focus that much on appearance, they shouldn't call themselves a band. Go for something like audio-visual collective or something.
To get back on track though, I agree, Zombie didn't really sound all that powery
Im loseing my sanity! Im not gonna make it,no Im nt gonna make it, Im not gonna make it for three weeks!

I really do not see it that. Stuff from Japan is almost always like that, and still they seem to have worked hard on all their compos. And they really do not look like they only care about their look.... Seriously, that really is just a videoclip.
To get back on track though, I agree, Zombie didn't really sound all that powery
Well, at least not for the beginning of the song :P
But how would you classify them?
I was thinking about something like "Symphonic Speed Power Metal"
what do you think?
At 11/16/08 06:44 PM, Nev wrote: Power Metal suggests symphony and speed.
Still you can understand why Kamelot would be called Symphonic Power Metal
and not Helloween.
And you can also understand how this is more speedy than Avantasia or Edguy.

I can understand Symphonic cause there is a lot of bands that do the whole operatic Power Metal stuff.
Still, I just call it Power Metal.
And you can also understand how this is more speedy than Avantasia or Edguy.
This however, I think is unnecessary. Axenstar are fast, but they're just Power Metal.

... not quite.
sort of like stratovarius, symphony x, malmsteen or batio (with less shred, and it seems more symphonic elements)

I wouldn't call Stratovarius and Symphony X "Neoclassical"... I think they are more like Progressive Power Metal bands.
Ok for Malmsteen though... but I think that Versailles really are more Power Metal than Neoclassical...
