Double dicks. This is a pretty blanketed statement, but I almost guarantee that if you like Melodic Death, you will like The Scattering of Ashes. It has some shitty lyrics at times and can get pretty poppy with the choruses but going on what people usually think about things, I fucking love poppy choruses.

Yeah, I liked the movie, though parts of it were kinda silly. I guess that adds to the charm. I thought Tenebre and Profondo Rosso were better, though. I plan on seeing Inferno, Opera, Phenomena, L'uccello Dalle Piume di Cristallo, and Il Gatto a Nove Code sometime. And if I ever can, I might check out that new Argento film, Mother of Tears, but I have doubts. I heard that everything he made in the 90's and later was crap. I can't judge since I haven't seen anything by him any later than the 80's.

Didn't he direct a film in which his daughter Asia had a nude scene? If so, that's creepy.

Delirium is weird, given that its like a horror/surgury film score, but its done well. Its probably the creepiest thing I've ever heard - except for Brian's little 'Anger, Pain, Fear, Aggression' thing on Spaced... but I doubt any of you yanks know about Spaced :(.

Though you dirty fuckers stole it off Pegg and Stevenson without permission!

yeh i doubt they will, and i cant believe that it happened but he did sign away the rights at the beginning of making it, basically he was desperate to get it out there to help get him out of money troubles (i think) that he signed the first thing he could and as a result the people that sold it didnt need to ask for his permission to sell it on later, tis a bit of a bitch but it doesnt change the fact that spaced is awesome!

in music news i cant stop listening to pendulum (yeh not metal i know) So theres not been much in the way of metal for me atm

I just think he's a good Bond. Casino Royale is the only Bond film I own and enjoy enough to say I'll watch it again sometime fo' sure :).

Still not checked them out. Then again, I do need to check out Avant Garde metal sometime. It seems like I'll never check it out, but one day, I will!

I wouldn't advise you to start on Fantomas, they're fucked up :P.
Get The Sham Mirrors by Arcturus, I guarantee you'll like it.
Its catchy, its interesting, its amazing!

Good choices. :)

I've totally gone on SYL, but I got the albums under the pretense that always works for me: I enjoy albums more when I have the full album. And I currently only have like, 20 SYL songs just randomly downloaded from a year or so back.

When did you stop?

Its so stupid. Who stops listening to music?
Its insane. No one can stop listening to music. Its not possible, how can it be? Its probably the most enjoyable form of media in the world.

At 5/17/08 03:27 PM, Charon wrote: tis a bit of a bitch but it doesnt change the fact that spaced is awesome!

Naturally, but its so fucked up. To steal it without even giving Pegg/Stevenson the courtesy of telling them is terrible. Its cowardly, I really hope something happens and they fail.
I can just imagine how it'll be too. It won't have the great, intellect of our version, but it'll be half an hour version of shite films like Epic Film Movie, Scary Movie, Date Movie.
That sort of reference system.

in music news i cant stop listening to pendulum (yeh not metal i know) So theres not been much in the way of metal for me atm

Pendulum are overrated. Everything they've done sounds the same. Even my friend says that and shes a big fan.
I like one song, Blood Sugar? The one everyone likes.

I also dislike the way Pendulum are popular with the Metal crowd, I know a lot of people who say they hate Dance music but hate Pendulum. Its silly, if you're going to listen to Dance, at least listen to creative Dance.

I'll shut up :P, I've ranted too much in this post :).

yeh they are deffinatly over rated, but still very enjoyable to listen to, i think their singles mainly sound the same whereas if you go into the albums you can get quite a different feel from some tracks, they are still a young band/group you cant blame them for sticking with a formula that brings them success

I like other trance stuff as well especially the psytrance and goa area of it, my dance/dubstep/non metal/techno library consists of stuff like:

Astral projection
infected mushroom
sphongle
dimension 5
GMS
Astrix
Orbital
The Prodigy
Faithless
Hallucinogen
Massive Attck
Robert Miles
Techmaster p.e.b.
Benga
coki
Kode9
Kromestar
The Others
Rusko
oh and one Billy Joel track :p (we didnt start the fire)

Yeah, I found the fact that the direction somehow kept the acting and the plot (which was at times hard to follow) interesting throughout ... sort of charming in an odd way. It wasn't exactly the scariest or even the most shocking movie I've ever seen like I was expecting, though it did achieve a genuinely disturbing atmosphere and I think a lot of that is thanks to Goblin. Even in the opening scenes the music kept you sort of on the edge of your seat and uncomfortable.

Suspiria was actually my first Argento movie and I enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to seeing some of his other stuff though I've got a long list of movies to see and some of them will probably take priority for a while. I've heard good things about The Tenant and have been wanting to see that one for a while now.

Didn't he direct a film in which his daughter Asia had a nude scene? If so, that's creepy.

I hadn't heard anything about that. That is ... odd.

You know how when films and shows in cinemas/theaters wherever are being advertised they use massive posters.
Surely once the films finished and such these posters be taken somewhere.
My question is, does anyone know where? And if they're purchasable or something?

quite alot of them are thrown away, however if you were to go into the cinema and enquire as to when they will be taking them down and if you could take one when they do, then they might let you have it.
