Lets make new sayings.
You know your metal when.....blah blah blah.
LET EM RIP!
You know your metal when 95% of your t-shirts are death metal band tees.

You know you're Metal when you're not a generic, cliche ridden ponce but still enjoy Metal.

You know you're metal when you are solid at room temperature (excluding mercury.)
You know you're metal when you have a shiny luster when polished.
You know you're metal when you are a good conductor of heat and electricity.
You know you're metal when you are dense.
You know you're metal when you produce a sonorous sound when struck.
You know you're metal when you form an oxide when you come into contact with oxygen.

Really they should all be 'a metal'.
Seeing as I'm sure there are cases where they're all false.
I believe smeagol is looking for things like:
You know you're Metal when your mum has to sew your patches on your denim waistcoat for you.

haha.
You know you're metal when your room is covered by posters/memorabilia of various metal artists.

It seems very excessive and out of the blue.
I woke up one day and realised, "Whoah. I really, really like Opeth. Wait, do I like any band more than Opeth? I don't think I do. Shit, I love Opeth! They're my favourite fucking band ever! Holy shit! OPETH!!!".

Heeheehee.
My mum bought me a Dragonforce T-Shirt for my birthday. I took it back and changed it for a Mayhem shirt, hahaha.
It's my mum's 50 birthday today, everyone say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PONOS' FIRST APARTMENT!"

As a matter of fact, I do.

Clint Mansell -
Smokin' Aces OST

I'll have to resort to plan B and say that the Matrix Soundtrack isn't overly good... too gay nightclub :P.
I don't have any movie/game soundtracks because I think that's quite sad and nerdy.

Game soundtracks is understandable.
But considering film music is full of immensely talented composers its nonsense.

It can only be a St. Anger II if the album contains excessive trash can hitting.
Classic, Power, Prog and Thrash. There are other genres I like, but I like those four the most.Yep, you can't get much weaker than those. =P
But you like prog too. Haha!
I'm afraid I'm not a big enough fan of them. :(Wow. Sucks to be you.
Oh well, as Nev said, I can't be a fan of everything.

You're right about that, but there are some things that I wish I could enjoy a lot more than I do, like Opeth and Motörhead for example. I do like those two bands, but I'm not like "WHOA, THEY FUCKING AMAZE ME!!"
Oh and I got a five disc album of 60 years of Disney songs.
You'd love it.
By love, you meant wanting to cut my ears off as soon as one of their songs are played, right? If so, then yes.
I also got Avril Lavigne's disography.
I'll assume you're pretty high right now. :P

Super yay. I'd recommend soundtracks of I - VI as well (perhaps with the exception of II), but I know you're not so keen on the old FF games.

Well, I guess so. I'd really love to become a composer for film and other media, although I wouldn't expect anyone downloading and listening to my scores. A bit weird.
Agh.... My collection is so awesome. Drudkh and Taake's discogs on my to-do-list now, but i'll be trying out Tyr, Thyrfing, and Moonsorrow soon.

I would, but I'd need to play the games and I haven't... but I want to.
Can you get them on DS? My mum has one, so I could buy them for that :P.

Its not really weird.
Its just like classical music. Only its written with a more visual purpose.

Moooooonsorrrow :).
Berzerker! YAY!!!
Although they're technically a grind core band because their drummer plays the rim-blast almost exclusively.
OMFG NO!!! CORE!!!! OMFG BLIND HATRED FOR CORE STYLES ZXOMFG!!!!
Yeah... Slipknot kicks ass. Deal with it. You're all just mad because Mushroomhead PWNS j00.
My musical racism is against blasphemous black metal bands like Cradle of Filth because they WAY over use the black metal blast beat to the point I want to chase them down and beat them to death with the Sepultura box set.

He doesn't fail for that. The soundtracks for the Matrix films weren't really....you know....good.

There's nothing nerdy about it. If I'm watching a movie and like the music I hear, I might get the soundtrack. It's just more good music. Some of my favorite music actually comes from video games. The stuff that Noriyuki Asakura did for the Tenchu and Way of the Samurai games is an amazing blend of Japanese folk, ambient, and a bit of rock. I love it.

Drudkh
I stopped listening to Drudkh because the members seem to follow NS, or at least have some sort of ties to it. I have a zero tolerance stance on that dumb bullshit. They're talented, though.

I don't hate core type music. A lot of bands I hate just happen to be that. I don't hate them just because they fall under a certain genre. I can think of a couple that I don't hate at all, such as Mudvayne and Killswitch Engage. I don't like them, but I don't hate them either.
Yeah... Slipknot kicks ass. Deal with it.
one of the worst bands in history.
Mushroomhead PWNS j00.
I heard only one song by that band years ago and I don't remember it.

The soundtrack is excellent. Its actually my personal favourite :). Very relaxing and nice. Its like being sung a tale of woe by your mother. So soothing.
Surely you recall the main melody, that Mercedes(?) sing to Ofelia, 'Da, da, da, da, daaaaaaa. Da, da, da, da, da, da, daaaaaa.'

Word. Films wouldn't be half as enjoyable if the scores weren't good/present.
They're an underrated and underappreciated form of music.

Even though your a mod Im still going to shun you. For one thing Cradle isn't black metal it's goth metal sure there old stuff was black metal but there new shit sucks. For two things Slipknot failed long ago when they became over rated atteintion whores. Sepultura will never pwn black metal if you put it against Dark Funeral or Gorgoroth BEND OVER BECAUSE YOUR GETTING HAMMERED IN THE ANUS BY SATANS BLAST BEATS!

Hahaha, what a shitty reason not to like music. I respect all ideologies, and even if I didn't, Drudkh being National Socialist doesn't mean i'll stop listening to their albums. It's the music I like.
And Kidd, i'm pretty sure Hand of Blood was released about 13 years after Burzum wrote War.
