They aren't really trying to be, but far too many people label them as metal out of stupidity.
most of their fans who are claiming to be into Metal are posers IMO though

I haven't posted on this forum for a long time.
My favourite bands atm are Amon Amarth and Symphony X. I have been using www.metal-archives.com to find new bands to listen to. It's a pretty good site.

I agree, Damageplan will never be the same again without Dimebag.

That's for sure. I was never a big Damageplan fan but they had some nice songs. But if they keep going I'll try them out again.

i wasnt much of fan either purely because i have never actually heard anything by them, but my friend, who coincidently got me into real metal, liked them.
i dont think that they will carry on as it has been said they are releasing unreleased stuff but i doubt they will do anything new as a make of respect to dimebag.
in other news ive got 3 new CDs Sonata Artica Winter Hearts Guild, Soilwork figure number 5 and Nevermore enemies of reality

Wow, neat. I need to get "The Final Chapter" by Hypocrisy soon.
back for short amount of time
I recently learned Dark Tranquility's Final Resistance and Feast of Burden on guitar
also been working on the solo for Pantera's Walk
Revolver and several other mags are running rememberances for Darrell, and well I made a crappy one at my PS site (click photoshops in my sig and check the scraps)

Abducted, The Final Chapter, Hypocrisy and The Arrival. Those 4 are their best. I love almost every song on these albums.
