Something i noticed.

You're right, but I've noticed him doing that for months now. However, they are still reasonable recommendations for newer people.

Perhaps so considering their genre is very debatable.

This is why you aren't a horseman. Shadows Fall = metalcore, Soilwork = shitty melodeath. Fact, not your opinion.

Well, I'm just saying, Shadows Fall should not keep this guy out.

I'm saying the guy is out because he doesn't listen to enough actual metal. It isn't based on intent or trying, its based on the person's respective taste at the time of the writing. With only three legitimate, without a doubt metal bands, and three totally non-metal bands, all the ones in between weren't close enough for me to feel comfortable. I don't really want a bunch of metalcore kids running around here, that's not what this club is for. Nothing wrong with kids liking metalcore or whatever, if that's their thing, just don't do it here.

Also it isn't your job to stuff more metal down the throats of people who don't make it. I appreciate that you probably had to work hard on that post, but honestly I told the guy to ask. You don't even know if he's interested or what his likes or dislikes are.

Literally an hour ago, I passed out today.

I mean actually passed out for about ten minutes. I still feel a bit light headed and woozy now.

Anyways, why did I pass out? It was my brother's birthday today and he got a Nintendo Wii and Guitar Hero 3. Having played this on the PS2 at my mates, I gave it a wizz. Played Killswitch Engage "My Cure" on hard, got 91 percent hit. Passed out.

Literally, towards the end of the song I was already feeling weird. My eyes felt funny, strange like, and my head suddenly felt really fucking hot and dizzy. I only realised there was something seriously wrong when the song ended and I saw my score spinning around and almost looking like it was melting. That's the eyes fucking up incase you're wondering. Seconds later, I passed out.

Now, I don't have a history of epilepsy or anything like that, but that game made me black out. It may have been the fact my eyes were fixed solely on the fret board, with all them buttons moving down it causing my eyes to get seriously confused. It may even have been the fact I wasn't even blinking.

Either way, it was very un-metal. Thoughts?

I wasn't even on drugs, but seriously, read the post. A game did that to me, and I've taken people stamping me in the head without so much as a brief second of black out. My honour is tarnished forever.

But it nearlly happened when I played the same song again, infact everytime I go on guitar hero today I start getting the same early warning signs. I think I just have bad eye-sight, and the whole moving coloured blobs thing doesn't actually help....

I actually had problems playing that game on a small TV. I have a meager 12-inch TV/VCR combo hand-me-down in my room. And while I usually play on the big TV in the living room, I had gotten addicted to it so I took it to my room. After a few songs I had a really bad headache and my eyes would not stop watering. I have astigmatism in one eye, but I don't think that was related. More likely than not, it was from the squinting. Still, I wanted to relate that eye problems aren't that rare for this particular game.

That I can understand, but passing out after just an hour of playing? Man, if it wasn't my brother's game, I'd have counted it as a waste of time and money...

Anyone interested in doing vocals for a slam death band, pm me.

Looking for someone with supreme guttural ability.
Something close to Condemned, Inhuman Dissiliency, Guttural Engorgement.
Pitch shifting is no problem either.

A dick. Please eat one. You picked a bad time to question what I wrote, the guy wasn't even that close at all and you chose a menial point to bring out as if you knew my thought process behind it and that was the pivotal band. It wasn't, and I found your thoughts annoying and pretentious. Not to mention the annoying childish fighting you had going on, which you are equally guilty of. Also, who would be a non-crappy leader? You? And who exactly are "you people"? Me? The other members?

For vote for the guy that, you know, Sorta voted for you First, and got 3 others to do so, Just to be nice you know?

Because you certainly shifted GChrist's decision? Don't flatter yourself. I got it because he gave it to me - whatever reason why is his own. I was fine with Sensey alone as a horseman, I didn't even have a majority vote so those votes you "gathered" were pretty much a moot point (and it wasn't like I didn't thank you at the damn time anyway). I have to admit I'm losing patience with you. Albeit I'm not trying to be an outright asshole, you're making it extremely hard for me not to get annoyed.

Eh, whatever. Trolls are trolls.

I'm not sure if there are any Hypocrisy fans here but I was pretty pissed to find out recently that instead of releasing another album in the vein of Virus (which kicked ass in my opinion) they opted to re-record Catch 22 .... which is no doubt their weakest album and while there are a few catchy songs on there the Nu Metal influence on it is obvious and it's pretty much shit.... I don't understand the reasoning behind this.

Indeed. Atleast I learnt my lesson not to stand so close to the screen, especially with a WIDE SCREEN T.V!

BTW, I am starting up an experimental blackened death grind-core group. It's about the easiest way of describing it. Basically, think the bastard son of Carparthian Frost and The Berzerker on LSD and you won't be wrong. Music will follow when me and my bassist find other musicians in our area sick in the head enough to join this madness.

Hey now. MSI are NOT metal in any way, shape or form. Bodom, Kalmah (kalmah rulez) and six are metal.

to get into the metal hell, you need to say 10 metal bands you like. seven more to go. MSI aside, that's a pretty strong list.

Big Metal fan.

then seven more will be easy!
