Hey, people.
I'm Saul, I guess.
I listen to some metal.
I have two general personality things or whatever: insanely obnoxious/angry and insanely mellow/sad.
Yeah, bands, okay.

All Shall Perish
Amon Amarth
Behemoth
Burzum (a little)
Dethklok
Dimmu Borgir
Ensiferum
Falkenbach
Finntroll
Folkearth
Guns N' Roses (hey, they were metal in their day)
Helloween (a little)
Korpiklaani
Mayhem
Meshuggah
Turisas
Watain

. . .ZZ Top. Dudeman, I'm just into their beards, frankly. ): And the singer has this loooow voice. Like the blues-esque version of Johan Hegg.
Well, there, that's all you'll ever need to know about me.
And, sorry, I don't have a fancy-shmancy avatar or signature like you dudes. I MUST JUST BE A COMPLETE FAILURE.

aww man, every time i hear someone mention trumpet it makes me sad. Our school band and jazz band just lost our best trumpet player (he had to retake an english course) and our band has fallen apart. He really held the band together. hopefully we'll get him back. if we don't, i will flip a bitch.

Sucks to be you. Our school just won State Jazz Band Championships, this is the sixth year in a row.

Fuck you, our jazz band was so close to being really good. We're almost decent now, we just have a balls trumpet section. Who are basically the most important horn section.

God damn.

I wish my school had a fucking huge awesome band like you guys do. Then it would actually want to make me choose music as a subject.

Last year of school for me anyway, so who cares!

Huge? hell no. We have 40 people in our band.

That's in the smallest category.

Nothing.

Guns N' Roses (hey, they were metal in their day)

I don't think they were ever metal. However, I still enjoy their music regardless of whether it's metal or not. :)

He's most famous as the vocalist of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle.
He's collaborated with pretty much everyone in the existence of humanity as well.

The trumpet can play low pitched sounds but it's main function is (usually) to carry the melody. It's undisputed that the trumpet player is one of the more important musicians in a jazz band (a school one anyway). That's not to say that other instruments aren't as important, oh quite the contrary, but the trumpet is the main melody carrying brass instrument.

But the bass being really low thing is really indisputable.

It is the most important horn, hands down. It's always (supposed) to be on top when everyone is playing the melody.

How long have you been playing the trumpet?

When I first got Plaintive Scenes I thought they were generic for some reason but now they're my favorite band. I haven't gotten into With Tragedies Adorned yet, so I won't say anything about that but I've heard all of their other albums and every one of them is great.

I just checked out Bloody Blasphemy - God Dethroned.
Killer Blackened Death album.

That's a good one. Also, get their 1992 debut "The Christhunt". It's a very contraversial release and I know you'll like the record. The vocals are very different from the rest of their work. They are more in the range of hollowed growls and that's a good thing. Same with Immolation's 1991 debut "Dawn Of Possession". Check out GD's first video. It's for "Necromagnon" which, is on "The Christhunt".
