Ok ive been recently been noticing the general dislike for the newest metallica album people have been saying oh they sold out blah blah blah. but i quite like it, ok sure its not their best but it still good. people were also saying that they sold out when they made their first video. im not trying to change minds i just wanna know why its so disliked.

I'm one of those who hate St. Anger. I think it's an abomination of an album, it's absolutely horrible. One of the worst *cough* metal *cough* albums ever created. There is not one song worth listening on it, "Frantic" being the worst of it all. The ridicilously downtuned guitars, the "no solo thing" and the faked agression and the horribly vocals of Hetfield. The worst thing on the whole thing are the drums. Lars was never a good drummer but this time he makes an complete ass out of himself. AND THE DRUM SOUND DRIVES ME CRAZY *clonk* *clonk* sounds like trash cans.

BTW, yeah, 1349 is great Black Metal, but so is Marduk. I don't know too much from 1349, though.

Darth-Clock-Lock, the bands you listed aren't brutal death metal :) Carcass was death-grind and morphed to melodic death metal and Cannibal Corpse was always just Death Metal :)

well i did try and i found their site and then on that site i found NO free sample tracks or one that cost (not that i would have bought them). so if Rage is reading this another band that i would love for you to add would be them even if its just a single track to whet my appetite.

also i see there is a large death and black metal conversation occuring whilst i do enjoy both genres my taste is limited to very few bands so i will not partake in the conversation.

thanks for the info, today i bought the Therion Album Lemuria, and its amazing i love the blend of the operatic mix with metal its really good to listen to, so if you dont own a Therion album start to consider buying one! :P

Oh yay, oh yay. Here me now all ye citizens of Metal Hell in the North West Kent area. I am going to hopefully start a Battle of the Bands compotition or something at my school to raise money for the Tsunami Appeal and many more charities., and any Metal bands (sorry, don't do anything based on politics, gore, swearing or religion, since we'll have little'uns watching. Just pure emtal with some angry themes of teenage angst would be good.) are more than welcome.
