well, i like a group called Suidakra, here in spain is very unkwon but i think up the north they are more listened.
i love they speed and hard lyrics, and their technique is great.
i read that they mixed black metal with touches of celtic tunes.

what kinda of Metal do you like the most, and why?

Kinda hard to choose, I like Black Metal and Melodic Metal (Nightwish etc) mostly. Black cuz of the screaming and ripping riffs, Melodic cuz of great melodies (har har!)

I read about it.

Here's the article for you guys:

"DIMEBAG DARELL SHOT DEAD

At least five people died and two others were wounded after a shooting at a Columbus nightclub on Wednesday night. The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Rd.

Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band Pantera, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The other band member's name was not released. The alleged gunman also died at the scene, Wayne reported.

Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported.

Witnesses said that several shots were fired at the band before a bouncer tackled the gunman before he was shot and killed.

Columbus police Sgt. Brent Mull said the shooter appeared to be targeting the band members. After opening fire on the stage, the gunman turned on the crowd. At that point, an officer shot the man dead, Mall added. Police said there could have been many more fatalities had the officer not killed the gunman.

According to the band's Web site, Damageplan was touring nationally. It performed in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday night and had a concert scheduled in Flint, Mich., on Thursday. Damageplan featured former Pantera artists Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul."

'Tis a sad day for Pantera and Damage Plan fans. :(

RIP Darrell.

Wasn't it his brother or something??

Response to Metal Hell 2004-12-09 15:13:59

Yeah Vinnie got shot, but someone (someone that was there, posted on Damageplan's forum) said that he'll be alright. And some other member (Pat?) is in critical condition. I'd check the general forum of newgrounds to check it out.

Hey, did you know that Pantera twice made a song with Seth Putnam (from Anal Cunt) as back up voculist.

Pretty random

I still can't believe the guy died. It was so fucking shitty when I found out about Darell's death. It's such a sad moment. It just seems so unreal. I still can't see the logic behind this murder.

R.I.P Dimebag

If words were wisdom, I'd be talking even more.

yeh its really shitty because this will pretty much be the end of Damageplan, as its doubtful that they will carry on without one of the founders :(

Is it just me or nearly every great guitarist since Jimi Hendrix died at a rather young age?

I agree, I doubt that damageplan will be able to continue on withought Darrel, replacements are always hard to find, but if damageplan doesn't die then I do not really think that they will be as good as they used to be.

Though I know he can't feel"
