It's true. He ripped off the main riff, and he wasn't covering the song or anything, he starts the vocals with, "I believe! In desecration!", and the song begins with an entirely different riff that isn't in "The Sun No Longer Rises" at all. HE IS A FUCKING THEIF AND I SHOULD HAVE LET HIM DIE!
And I think Unsilent Storms In The North Abyss is good too. I'm actually starting to appreciate that album actually, though I still agree with your review on the Metal Archives, it is forgettable. I just like it a bit more than you do. Probably because of the musicianship, and the production.
But mostly the musicianship.
And speaking of stealing, I just realised Kirk Hammet ripped off the guitar thingy at the end of Black Sabbath's "Jack The Stipper/Fairies Wear Boots", and used it for a solo in "For Whom The Bell Tolls".
And when I say ripped off, I mean it's not exactly the same, but it's pretty damn similar.
