Never was epic. Maybe brutal - To the ears, but never Metal-y brutal.

Visually brutal also. And it's epic in a "holy shit check out that troll/monster/battle scene/mode of transport" way.

Oh and also there will be a Dethklok tour of sorts happening soon across the US. I'd post the details but I won't be able to see it so fuck that.

I got Carheart by Virus today. It's an awesome album. Virus is an avant-garde metal/rock band with Czral from Ved Buens Ende and Ulver as well as Esso and Plenum who were also in Ved Buens Ende. Garm and Øyvind Hægeland were guests on the album.

on the topic of metal, i know a guy (basically a friend of a friend sort of thing) who is one of the worst metal poseurs I've met. I'm all for people liking whatever they want, but it's sort of obnoxious when I mention black metal and he says "Yeah, i like black metal. Like Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir." while wearing a Slipknot shirt.
