Shitnot, CoRny, Stone Shower, and Marilyn Hanson are not even REMOTELY metal. Get the fuck out now, my eyes hurt, as well as my ears for thinking about those horrible abominations of metal.
FAIL.

He probably LOVES St. Anger.

EXCELLENT POINT, MAN.
Bonemill, good start on that song. The middle kind of drags on for too long though. I don't know, considering I can't play guitar.
To the Cream

It has been a long weekend of being tortuously tickled. Not even metal can save me from that torment :(

UTOH has it's good production moments too :)
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

depends on the listener i suppose, although i have never thought of Gorgoroth as a band with particularly bad production...
Last night was the first time I ever listened to Burzum. I got ahold of Filosofem, and thought it was absolutely awesome. The whole album is great but I've been listening to Dunkelheit on repeat ever since I first heard it. I get what people have been saying now, about how his riff's are simple but don't drag on, or stagnate. They just work for however long he wants them too. It's amazing.
?

The best part is, it gets better. Get 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss', it's much better than Filosofem. 'Det Som Engang Var' is very good also.

I know! He is a wizard when it comes to music. I only recently got 'Hvis Lyset Tar Oss' it's brilliant.

I agree with your Burzum recommendations, Ponos.
Even though...
This is...uargh...WAR!

what are peoples thoughts of Ministry? i got their latest and final album (supposedly) and whilst its not a technical master piece or anything ground breaking it is rather enjoyable
At 9/17/07 10:35 AM, Charon wrote: what are peoples thoughts of Ministry?
I haven't heard "The Last Sucker" yet, but "Rio Grande Blood" was a quite excellent slab of Industrial/Thrash.
Is TLS as good?
gah i'd listen to burzum more if i wasnt put off on a presonal level, not so much the murder but the whole being a big elitist nazi. sounds stupid but meh.
i've been listening to quite a bit of voivod recently, restored my faith in proggy metal. are there any other good 'progressive thrash' bands? (besides from the obvious metallica)
RZZZZZZ

UTSOH=better vocals, better riffs, better production. Pentagram sounded like a soggy cum towel in the production department, the vocals sounded like he was kicked in the balls, and the riffs are boring as hell. I mean, look at this riff from Maneskyggens Slave:

That's even approaching mallcore trash.

Lol power power chords.
If you want to see a complete misusage of the horns read my latest blog.

Don't power (power) chords basically form all metal verses?

Not really, These are simple power chords that he posted. There is a difference between a "power chord" and a "POWWWAH CHOOOOORD"
Metallica (I like em but still) = Power Chord
Morbid Angel = POWAHHH CHORD
Dio = Power Chord
Necrophagist = ALOT OF POWAHHH CHORDDDDDDDSSZSSZZZSSS

So
-
-2
-3
-0
-
-
=POWAH CHORD
But
-
-
-
-2
-2
-0
=Power chord?
I am confused.
